His defense has been good there. can he hit enough? Probably not. DJ's regression really hurts.

Grisham's in Stanton's spot in the order. Here comes the Stanton injury. Stanton looked like he was in pain rounding third on that Gleyber double.

Arcia chases a slider outside, fouls it. Slider way low/away taken, 1-1 Sinker low/away, 2-1 Sinker about 3-4 inches outside, waist high, chased and fouled, 2-2 Cutter into the top of the zone, spoiled Slider dives to the ShortPorch, thigh high, 6 inches outside, Arcia chases with a wild swing, and K's. There goes Stroman, taking advantage of the ShortPorch off the plate away again.

Kelenic... Swings over a slurve inner half and down, 0-1 Tries to pull a splitter in the zone low/away, rolls it over to Rice in the ShortPorch off 1st, takes it to the bag, 2 down.

Albies... Slurve on the bockdoor below the waist, taken, 0-1 Cutter misses well outside, 1-1 Solitter tails outside, but Albies tries to pull it, rolls it over to Rice in the ShortPorch back of 1st, takes it to the bag, inning over.
Bottom 6, 4-1 Yanks. Another easy 1-2-3 for Stroman, 11 pitches and 78 through 6. He's retired 10 in a row since Kelenic's walk with 1 out in the 3rd. The ShortPorches are helping him out.
Grisham PH for Stanton, who might have hurt his leg. Sigh. Rice and Torres to follow.

Good Lord, Grisham is a terrible hitter. I don't give a crap how good his glove is. If he can't hit .100 he shouldn't be on a major league team.

So far Rice has looked like a first baseman. He looks like a player, too… An MLB one… I like him…

Torres takes a cutter to the drop the bat happy zone for a strike. Morton throws over on Tim Raines, Jr., Jr., uh, I mean, Rice. Curve to the same spot as the cutter fouled off 3rd, 0-2 FB misses well outside near the top, 1-2 Bounces the curve outside, taken, 2-2 Curve starts at his body drops to the ShortPorch in the zone down and in, Torres swings over, K, 2 down. At 97 pitches, Morton is done. Bringing a lefty for Wells seems like overkill at this point, but in comes Aaron Bummer, who was a lefty for the White Sox recentily, if I remember right. Morton heads for the ShortPorch Showers.

Bummer is a 5 pitch lefty, doesn't throw that hard, FB and sinker are both 93-4, also throws slider cutter and change.

Cutter to Wells hangs inside, ball 1 Sweeper misses well outside, waist high, 2-0 Cutter misses just outside at the bottom 3-0. It was a ball, but d'Arnaud held the bell for a moment, expecting the call. 0% on Gameday by maybe 1/2 inch. Takes a get it over sinker just inside middle middle, 3-1 Takes another sinker, just below the pitch before, 3-2 Sinker backs up inside thigh high, ball 4. 1st and 2nd, 2 down for Cabrera.
