1st pitch to Verdugo is negated by a time clock violation, 1-0
Swings over a sweeper near the corner low/away, but in the zone, 1-1
Slider well outside and a bit low, 2-1
Bummer at 30 pitches now.
Sinker taken on the outside corner thigh high, good pitching backwards there. Looked like a sweeper but wasn't.
Sinker waist high, outer 3rd, fouled.
Sweeper backs up inside, ball 3.
Sinker on the inside corner below the waist, rolled over to the ShortPorch in the 34 hole to Albies, fields and throws him out, inning over.
Yanks add 3 in the 6th and going top 7, it's 7-1 Yanks.
Stroman had a long long time to cool off that inning, he's rolling with 10 in a row retired and has a low pitch count.
Boone wants to get the pen more rest, but Stroman has to face the Braves 3-4-5, Ozuna-Olson-Riley for the 3rd time.
A tough inning coming up for Stroman, but if he gets through it OK, he's the easy #1 star tonight

Have we heard anything about Stanton being pinch hit for? I wouldn't be surprised if he first got hurt on that awkward return to second base on Rice's flyout. |

judge walks. 7-1. with our bullpen can't have enough runs. surprised altanta staying w bummer. not a bummer for the yankees. Honestly, last night not withstanding, I'm not even comfortable with a 7-1 lead with the rest of those guys right now. |

Sinker into the top again, AGAIN NOT CALLED, ball 4 on strike 2. 50-50 on Gameday
AND NO IDIOTSMOLTZ™. THAT ONE HASN'T BEEN A BALL ALL NIGHT. He's been letting pitches at the bottom and and the sides and the corners go uncalled, but not at the top in the middle.

Sinker misses high in the middle, 1-1
Splitter misses low on the corner away, 2-1
Cutter misses an inch high in the middle, 3-1
Cutter down the middle, thigh high, rolled over to the ShortPorch on the right side, Torres fumbles a DP ball, but smartly, calmly recovers, doesn't try for the superforce at 2nd, throws to Rice, and gets an out with a 6 run lead.

Just saw Grisham's BA, .097 LOL. It's almost July. I'm sorry, but the only way he should be on an MLB team as way at the end of a deep bench as a late inning defensive replacement.
