FB maybe gets a piece on the corner away, 1-2; 5% on Gameday
FB down the middle, hit hard up the middle, hits Bickford on the left forearm or wrist, deflects behind him, he gets to it, tries to pick it up, fumbles, infield hit.
They check on Bickford but he's OK to stay in.

Takes a slider outside knee high, 1-1
FB at 94 waist high, outside corner, just gets under it, hits it to deep center, Judge goes back near the track, catches, 2 down.

Vientos takes a slider low/away, 1-0
Takes a slider outside at the knees, called a strike anyway, 1-1. Missed by 2-3 inches, bad call, but I'll take anything I can get at this point, 1-1
Slider in a bad spot, just below middle, and Vientos pulls it hard, but near Volpe, who backhands, sets and throws him out to end the Mets' 5th.
Top 6, 6-1 Mets.
If I were Soto, I might declare free agency right now, and let the Yankees sue.
7-8-9 for the Yanks: LeMahieu, Jones and Trevino.

Can he catch up to that pitch and still guard the slider? I doubt it.
OK, so he GIVES you a 97 FB down the middle on 1-2 and you foul it off. Time's up, DJ.
Slider outside middle, rolled over to Lindor, throws him out, 1 down.

Well, that swing looked like Stanton, anyway.

Checks in time on a slider low away, 2-1
FB outside corner at 97, near the top, fouled back, 2-2
Hanging slider in ties him up, popped to right, Taylor comes in a few steps, catches, 2 down.
And that swing looked a bit like Stanton, too.

Takes a FB into the top outside corner, 1-1
Misses under a FB running inside a bit, 1-2, foul tip says Gameday.
Humps up to 98, and beats Trevino clean on the FB above and outside middle for the K.
1-2-3 go the Yanks, nothing close to being hit hard anywhere. 14 pitch 1-2-3 for Nunez, and 15 total so far.
McNeil, Bader, and back to the top for Lindor for the Mets in their half of the 6th.
