Another loss. We root for a very bad baseball team with two really good players. They had the lowest team ERA in the majors for most of the season. |

Chases a cutter low and outside, 1-1
Slider well out of the zone low/away
Cutter outside 3-4 inches, Volpe chases, fouls it off, 2-2
Curve backs up inside, and Bassitt and Kirk both react like it's a strike, but it missed and wasn't close 4-5 inches inside on Gameday.
Sinker inside by 4-5 inches, Volpe chases ball 6 and fouls it down.
OH, NO!!!
Slider into the zone up and away, Volpe grounds it to Clement's left, he ranges to get it, wheels and fires high to first, Volpe hustling through the back, Turner tries to smash tag him on the neck without the ball, and they collide, Volpe's knee against Turner's foot. Volpe rolls down in pain, but stays in there, and goes to 2nd as the throw went out of play.

Volpe is such ass as a leadoff hitter. Please get him off my team until he could learn to lay off the outside pitch. Excuse me, but that's not smart at all. They have no replacement anywhere near as good. If he's not exactly what he want yet, that's too bad, because he's clearly the best of what they can field at short. |

Maybe the Yankees lose today, I don't know. But it's only the top of the 5th inning and they are only trailing by 2 runs.

Judge gets a cutter hanging inside middle but fouls it off.
Gets a sinker just below and inside middle, hits it hard to the left of 2nd, and it finds the hole for a RBI single.
3-1 Jays.
Verdugo up, 2 down, Judge on 1st.
