Got back home about an hour ago. Spent last night in Galveston with my buddy who just moved. Had a great time. Good thing I came back today, as the cats were just about out of food that I put out. Wonderful! Happy you got to spend some time with your buddy! You should have extended your trip with that hurricane barreling down on Texas soon! Stay safe!
"Trying To Reason With Hurricane Season" is one of my favorite Jimmy Buffett songs. Fortunately, Dallas is far enough north that the worst off the hurricane - storm surge - is not much of a concern and by the time the winds hit here, hurricanes have lost some of their intensity over land. Now, where my family resides in Louisiana and where my buddy is now - definitely a major concern. They are old hands at making a decision to either hunker down or evacuate. Last bad hurricane, they all came to Dallas to wait out the storm. |

Devers...
Slider misses outside, 1-0
Curve into the high outside corner taken, 1-1
Takes his timeout, then he stops to argue the correct call on the 1-0 curve. The curve was 50-50 on Gameday so not close to a ball.
And there it is.
And gets to take out his anger at the call on Cole, who makes ANOTHER mistake with a FB TO dEVERS just above and inside middle, and Devers destroys it into the 1st row of the Bleachers in right center, HR makes it 4-3 Sox.
And Boone goes to pull him.
Another poor outing by Cole. Tough weather, yes. Bad luck, some, yes. But stupidly challnenging Devers is YOUR fault, Gerrit

Game is still winnable obviously, but that seemed like a gift run when Cole didn't have to even face him.
