Should’ve known this was going to happen tonight after the big offensive explosion yesterday. Crawford will end up with an 80 pitch complete game. One fluke game wasn't going to change how terrible this lineup is. The inability to make contact in key spots, move runners over and have productive outs has been an issue with this team for at least the last 4 years. Add in the mental mistakes and this is the result you get. Should have had 2 runs this game. Cabrerra base running cost us 1 and inability to get Soto home after a leadoff double is 2. |

The Yanks haven't hit the Sox top relievers this year, piling up runs in two blowouts against their bad relievers, and the 8th is the bottom of the order after Wells, so they might have to get both runs in the 9th, maybe even with DJ leading off. Slaten comes in to face Wells, Grisham and Cabrera. I'll tell you want, Soto did his thing and Judge, Verdugo and Volpe couldn't cash it to strike back immediately after the Devers HR, and the Sox immediately jumped on a mistake to make it a 2 run lead. Bad signs. |
