I don't know that Berti makes much sense with Cabrera on the bench. Can play anywhere in the IF and pinch run. Oswaldo has certainly earned his spot on this team. Absolutely. As Kay/Flaherty said...never complains, comes the ballpark everyday with a positive attitude and smile on his face. Does whatever is asked of him.

I thought all along that the "We're sticking with Verdugo" was just a smokescreen. The Yankees waited until Dominquez was guaranteed to retain his rookie status for 2025 until they called him up, I don't think anything else has drastically changed in the past couple of weeks.

good to see jasson called up. was surprised he wasn't called up sept 1 (can he still be on the PS roster). hopefully he provides a spark. they do seem married to verdugo as stanton sits at least tonight.
berti doesn't move the needle much but definitely an upgrade over DJ on a number of levels. redundant w cabrera (agree w bob's assessment above) who i like in the UT role). don't expect either to get many reps w jazz & rizzo entrenched at 3B & 1B. nonetheless the bench has gotten stronger giving boone some real options.

If he can hit his nationality does not matter He's a bright, has a good head on his shoulders and you're right, it doesn't matter where's he's from. Plus, he's good at playing baseball.

Everything in my post matters...but you can't see that, because Cabrera is your latest target. Youv've been preaching that players should look out for themselves not the team i.e. Gleyber Then praising Cabrera for being a team player and doing whatever is asked of him.

Youv've been preaching that players should look out for themselves not the team i.e. Gleyber Then praising Cabrera for being a team player and doing whatever is aked of him. Cabrera, who you've routinely trashed, is looking out for himself by being a super utility team player. Any refusal to do that would send him packing. It's known as a win-win.
