Curious to see thoughts here instead of twitter.
What are realistic expectations for 2024 in your opinion?
I've seen some takes thinking he will come back and light the world on fire but I feel like he's running out of time and not sure he's proved himself enough to bump verdugo out of a starting spot with say a month left in the season.
Thoughts ?

He'll take some time to ramp up following the injury but I believe in the Martian! Knowing this front office though, they'll probably only use him as a September call up and a part time player. Hopefully he gets hot during that stretch and forces their hand.

I agree we don't see him till sept 1 earliest. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk

Then, he looked like he was making a march to the big leagues come hell or high water, and another injury put him back on the IL. Too bad he isn't an infielder, or he could pick his spot. Honestly, Anthony, I have no idea if we'll see him this year, now that September call ups have changed. I have a feeling that Stanton and Berti will get back in the lineup before Dominguez.

I have a feeling we might have another talented prospect that just can't stay healthy.

A lot is going to depend on Verdugo. If he finds his. At again along with that D, he’s going to be hard to push out of the line up. If he continues to fail then the Yanks won’t want him back and won’t mind sitting him in lieu of the kid…
Actually, I don’t think Verdugo will be back anyway a this point. Especially if we’re going to mzkdd we a sincere bid for Soto…

Where is he recovery-wise? Have they said when he might start playing games again?

If he can hit the ball then he will be in NY. I see no way with how desperate the team needs some consistent hitters that they will not at least bring him up when he is cleared. In the little time he played this season he was mashing the ball. Hope he comes back for the stretch. His hitting is too good not to bring him up.

so if his his return is mid-august, then after a couple weeks, he'd be ready for a september call up.
probably gonna ride verdugo this season but i can see him replacing grisham. see no verdugo's back next season.

I think we are getting the cart in front of the horse! He hasn't really gotten to the majors and Injuries are piling up! Remember a catcher by the name of Sanchez? Looked like the next Babe Ruth! Let me see him do something at Scranton first before he gets a free ride to the majors! It depends how the season goes and Injuries if we see him or not at Yankee Stadium!
