Gets a FB outside middle, misses, fouls it
Takes another curve low, 2-1
Swings over a slider low, 2-2
Gets another FB down the middle, misses again, fouls it
Misses a FB at the top of the zone for the K.
Boy, it's a good thing the Yanks got Soto and Judge in there this inning, hunh?

That may have been the ugliest bunt attempt I've ever seen. One Yankees MLB spring training camp, when the Scooter was a Special Instructor. He was trying to teach the Yankee players how to bunt, the power hitters on team, all they cared about hitting HRs, while some players like Willie Randolph, Roy White and some others took bunting practice with the Scooter. Later in the broadcasting booth, Bill White asked him how did the training session go, Phil replied " All Those huckleberry want to do is hit HRs."  RIP Uncle Phil! |

If you told me that Grisham, O-Cab, Rice, Soto, Judge and Verdugo were going to hit in the 9th inning, I definitely wouldn't have bet on Soto and Judge making 2 of the outs.

Bad slider winds up right down the middle, fouls it, 1-2. Holmes lucky there.
Sinker dives outside at 98, 2-2
And here...we...go...
Man who puts balls in play gives him a sinker thigh high, outside corner and he grounds it up the middle for a leadoff single, immediately getting the tying run to the plate.
