Judge takes a sinker near the corner low/away, 0-1 Curve knee high outside, taken, 1-1 Takes a sinker in the zone down and in, 2-1 Curve down and in, fouled off. Trainer goes out to see Judge (SHUDDER!!!), but it's just a foul off his foot and he's OK. Swings over a curve on the outer 3rd that wound up just below the knees, K, inning over. Soto's bat and legs adds a run; Yanks lead 5-0, going top 5. 17 pitches for Eflin in the 4th, 77 through 4. 7-8-9 for the Rays in the 5th: Rortvedt, Caballero and Walls. Takes a cutter in the zone up and away, 1-1
Takes a FB on the corner away, 1-2
FB zooms way high, outer half, 2-2
Slider taken down and in, 3-2
Chases ball 4 high, a FB on the corner away, rolls it over to Volpe on the right side of 2nd, throws him out, 1 down.

Caballero takes a curve in the zone down and in, 0-1
A cutter inside middle is pulled to the 56 hole, DJ can't cvt it, Volpe backs up on the grass and tries a sorta jumpthrow, but it's low and not nearly in time anyway, infield hit.

FB outside corner fouled off. 1-1
FB hits the top of the zone outside middle, NOT CALLED. Worst call of the night, 80% on Gameday. 2-1
Misses up and in with a cutter, 3-1
MUST CHALLENGE HERE.
But he's way off, missing a foot high with a FB for ball 4.
Terrible walk to a bad hitter. 1st and 2nd, 1 out and back to the top for Palacios. This inning probably keeps Cole from getting through 7 now.

I think Cole is going to blow a gasket with the way the ump is calling strikes and balls.. He is definitely annoyed..

Did everyone survive the Crowd Strike glitch last night? Survive it? I don’t even know what it is (was)… There were some scary moments for us at the hospital. We're prepared for system downtime; complete computer failure is another thing. We couldn't get medications and we couldn't do CT scans. We could do labs, but they literally had to be walked to the lab and the results walked back when they were finished. |

97 FB on the outside corner a couple of inches below the top, Palacios swings under for the K. 2 down, but still has to get through Paredes, the Rays most dangerous hitter.

Paredes gets a cutter in the zone up and in, it jams him just, fly toward the corner in left is an easy play for Verdugo, inning over.
Bottom 5, 5-0 Yanks.
20 pitches for Cole in the 5th, 84 through 5.
Verdugo, Torres and Wells for the Yanks in their half of the 5th.
