Verdugo takes a cutter above and inside middle, 0-1 Rolls over a sinker in almost the same spot to B. Lowe at 2nd, throws him out, and the slump continues, 0-3 tonight, lucky to get even the 1 RBI.

When was the last time Verdugo didn't hit a ground ball????

It's a shame Verdugo doesn't always come up with a runner on third and no outs, because he'd have a lot of RBI from those slow ground outs.

Sinker on the outer 3rd, he goes with it to right, liner falls in front of J. Lowe who pulls up rather than trying for the shoestring catche.

I think I may have Covid again. I've been so sick this afternoon. Oh crap. Say it ain’t so, Matt. I noticed the Pharmacy at City Market was loaded with tests and ads for the “new” all natural vaccines….

I think I may have Covid again. I've been so sick this afternoon. Ugh, sorry Matt. I had Covid this year and had the worst headache I think I ever had. Thank goodness for NyQuil allowing me to sleep through it.

Wells takes a change just low, 1-0 Takes a cutter on the back door, 1-1 He tries a dump bunt down 3rd, Eflin gets on it quick, throws a bit inside, but Paredes' foot is off the bag, and he doesn't get it back in time. Paredes says he did, and the Rays challenge, but the call should stand, unless Wells front toe wasn't on the bag when Paredes got his foot back on it.

If Wells' toe is on the bag, he's safe; if not, he's out. Call stands. 1st and 2nd, 1 out for Volpe.

Weird looking play with Wells only touching his toe on the edge of the bag…and Paredes searching for it…

Cutter in the zone up and in, fouled off by Volpe, 0-1 Sinker runs well inside, taken, 1-1 Pulls out early again, can't check in time on the slider well outside, knee high. 1-2. Opens up early again, swings over a slider going low near middle, K, 2 down.

Here comes the mighty Grish… not quite mighty enough…

Grisham's swing is reminiscent of slamming a car door.

Grisham goes after a 1st pitch back door cutter, waist high, hits it to medium deep right of center, easy play for Siri, inning over.
Top 6, 5-0 Yanks. 11 pitches for Eflin in the 5th, 88 through 5.
3-4-5 for the Rays in the 6th., the two Lowes with Arozarena in between.
