It's the fourth inning, the Yanks have 4 hits and 5 walks and no runs. WTF.

I don't think Oswaldo is pressing, Paulie. He's just a bad hitter. He’s been pressing his entire career, then…

Name that Yankee might be Rafael Soriano. Garcia's years with the Mariners began before 2000, Soriano was with them 2002-2006, which is what the Name That Yankee said, I think.

Hard throwing Garrett Cleavinger, a sharp lefty, in to face Rice and Soto. Rice takes a cutter bounced outside, 1-0 A FB hits the corner down and in, 1-1, taken. Takes a sinker in the drop the bat happy zone, another cripple, because the runners go and pull off a double steal And taking the 1-1 sinker for the double steal ends up costing the Yanks anyway, becausse he can't check on a slider outside for the K.

Rice takes a pitch right down the middle so the runners could steal and then chases to strike out.

Things are really bad when even a guy like Soto can't get it done.

7 LOB in 4 innings. This one is starting to grow a stink on it…

Start of the 5th inning, and the Yankees have already left a small village on base.

Soto goes after the 1st pitch slider in the zone low/away, lifts it to deep left center, but it's just a long out and yet another RISP. Top 5, 3-0 Rays. Yanks still not quite dead, but showing no sign of life in any clutch spot. So...as Miracle Max would say, they're just mostly dead.
7-8-9 for the Rays: Rortvedt, Siri and Walls in the 5th. Might be Stroman's last inning.

The Rice being a contact hitter analysis might be overstated.

I did like that double steal that inning. We need to utilize the wheels on the few players that have them more…and maybe get more guys with wheels…

Things are really bad when even a guy like Soto can't get it done. The way things are going for the Yankees watch Judge leadoff the 5th inning with a HR.

Rortvedt... Takes a slurve outside middle, 0-1 Takes a sinker running well outside, 1-1 Takes a cutter high on the inner 3rd. 2-1 Rortvedt crowding the plate. Good splitter dives to the knees, outer 3rd, tapped back to Stroman, fields and throws to 1st, 1 down.
