Any inning containing Jones and Davis is an automatic popcorn fart.

Yank’s first four batters is a prime rib sandwich on moldy bread.

Apparently, Davis can't hit a curveball. Fastball, bat like very much; curveball, bat afraid.

Apparently, Davis can't hit a curveball. It really isn't fair to have this many guys in a lineup who haven't played since Alaska became a state. This game does rely on timing.

A shame Stanton went down (as usual) this year. It cost Judge any chance he had of breaking his own AL HR record. Pitchers have turned him into a walk machine, and everyone hitting behind him will see to it that he'll stay that way. Sad for fans.

19 pitches for Quintana in the 5th, and 94 through 5.
Alonso... Takes a FB outside middle, above the knees at 95, 0-1 Takes a sinker in the zone at the bottom near the corner away, but Narvaez boxes it, blowing the strike call, 1-1, 80-90% on gameday so a very bad call. Slider well outside, 2-1 FB above and inside middle at 94, Alonso misses, fouls it off, 2-2 Slider on the corner away, but Alonso looking for it, drives it to left center for a hit, splits the gap, rolls to the wall for an easy leadoff double, very good hitting by Alonso there, and the Yanks are right back in trouble.

Apparently, Davis can't hit a curveball. Really? I can't imagine why you'd say that...

Apparently, Davis can't hit a curveball. Not sure he could hit a beach ball with a boat paddle.

Vientos takes a sinker above middle, 0-1 Takes a sinker outside, 1-1 Sinker waist high, inner 3rd at 94, and Vientos drives it to deep center, Judge goes back, catches, but can't remotely keep Alonso from tagging and moving to 3rd with 1 out.

Yanks bring the infield in for McNeil.
Sweeper clips the very bottom of the zone, inner 3rd, not called, but marginal at best, <5% on Gameday. Sinker outside, chases and fouls it, 1-1 Sinker above and inside middle, jams him a bit, fouls it, 1-2 Bounces an attempted back door slider, 2-2 FB way outside, taken, 3-2 Slider below the knees in the middle, and McNeil barely tops it foul straight down, stays alive. Sinker waist high, outside corner, late swing and spoiled well off the 3rd base side. Leaning out over home, he catches a FB on the outer half, thigh high, and drives it into the Yankee bullpen, 2 run HR makes it 3-1 Mets.

Kay ripping on the Mets for giving up on Tonkin while they're hitting line drives all over the place against him.

Oh man. The Yanks can't go 0-3 against the Mutts. I wish.
