Grisham frozen by a sweeper at him, hits the corenr inside, 0-1 Takes a sweeper low outside middle, 1-1 Good cutter gets a swing early and over as it goes outside, 1-2 Takes his timeout and a probably useless practice swing. Slider on the corner low/away forces a swing, and he rolls it over to Hamilton's left, he gets in front, bobbles, but has plenty of time to recover and throw Grisham out in yet another RISP fail.
Bottom 7, tied at 6. Yanks get two walks to the first two batters, and need a sac fly to get even 1 run out of it. Yanks now 1-10 with RISP, leaving 8 on base so far.
4-5-6; Devers, O'Neill and Smith for the Sox in their half of the 7th against...I dunno.

Well, yeah, of course...Hill stays in for Devers, at least. As if that matters.

How many batters before Boston takes the lead back?

Anyone remember Emerson Boozer? Yes. Why? Simply because we just faced Cam Booser, and I always thought the name Emerson Boozer was funny as a little kid.

Takes a sinker below and inside middle, won't get away with that pitch again against this guy. Slider winds up below middle, Devers foul tips it into the mitt, 0-2 FB clips the high outside corner, but not called, maybe 10-20% on Gameday, Sox get a small break. Sinker above middle at 89.6, swings late as if looking for another slider, and misses for the K. 1 down.
Tonkin coming in to pitch to O'Neill and Smith, at least.

How many batters before Boston takes the lead back? A valid question. Hope for the best, expect the worst.

O'Neill... Sweeper jusssst a bit outside, ball 1. Sinker just inside and below middle, fouled, 1-1 Slider outside middle, pulled foul off 3rd, 1-2 Bad slider down the middle, thigh high, belted just into the Monster seats, solo HR gives the Sox the lead right back, 7-6.
The correct answer to Renfield's question is: One.

Same guy who gave up the 2 run homer to McNeil on Tuesday that cost us the game. Garbage on top of garbage.

How many batters before Boston takes the lead back? A valid question. Hope for the best, expect the worst. And we have our answer--2. I was going to set the over/under at 2.5, but Devers made an out before I could type it out.

Sweeper down and in almost hits Smith, 1-0 Sinker at the knees, just catches the bottom for a strike. Sinker on the outside corner, thigh high, lined toward the corner in left, rolls to the wall, Soto gets it back in, but not in time, double for Smith.

You can’t make this up. This entire bullpen is pure unadulterated shit.
