Verdugo is 0-1 vs. Smith. Takes a 96 FB near middle, 0-1 Fb well outside, 1-1 FB well inside, gets a bit away from B. Naylor, but no advance, 2-1 FB near the corner away with good run, and there you see the extension effect, late and under, fouled off. Swings over a splitter diving low and inside, K, 2 down. Wells PH for Trevino. You'll not be surprised to discover this is the first time he's ever faced him. FB catches the edge of the high outside corenr, 0-1 FB hit to deep center, Schneemann goes back to the wall, can't get it, Grisham must hestitate at 2nd with 1 down, Grisham rounds 3rd, but stumbles, so when they send him, he's out on a great catch and tag by B. Naylor. |

I don't think there is, when you have that big monster in left...even for lefties...it's inviting them to go to the opposite field. Seriously, all I constantly see from Verdugo are rollovers to 1B or 2B. |
