Just turkey sandwiches for me recently. Trying to lose weight.
How bout you?
Nothing yet. Sadly, I'm out of ice cream or that would be it! I'm due for an ice cream in four days! Counting down the time!

If it's not a lead-off walk, it's a two-out walk. Are we walking more batters than most teams, or is it just my unadjusted myopic Yankee lens?

Once again, the Yanks get the first two batters, can't get the 3rd for a 1-2-3 inning... Fry up. Takes a change down the middle, 0-1 Change down the middle at the top, he's early and under, 0-2 Change below middle, rolled over to the 56 hole, Cabrera goes a long way to cut it off in the webbing of his mitt, takes it a step or two, wheels around and throws a strike to DJ to end the inning.
I sometime forgot how athletically difficult some of the play in this game are. That's sort of a routine play, but the skill involved to run, lunge, balance yourself, wheel, and throw a coordinated strike right on 1st on that play is just tremendous. It won't be noted after the game. Just a liitle kid's eye view marvelling at it all.
Bottom 8, 3-3 Stanton, Verudgo and Trevino for the Yanks in their half of the 8th vs. Cade Smith.

The Mets are trying to comeback against Baltimore, they scored 4 in the 8th but still trail 7-5.

Stanton takes a 96 FB on the high inside corner, 0-1 Takes a FB above the inner 3rd, 1-1 Takes a FB well up and a bit in, 2-1 Takes a spliter way outside, and down, 3-1 Fb runs inside, ball 4. Grisham comes in to run for Stanton.

Cade Smith has 81 K's in 59 innings and an ERA under 2.00. Any questions?

Verdugo is 0-1 vs. Smith. Takes a 96 FB near middle, 0-1 Fb well outside, 1-1 FB well inside, gets a bit away from B. Naylor, but no advance, 2-1 FB near the corner away with good run, and there you see the extension effect, late and under, fouled off. Swings over a splitter diving low and inside, K, 2 down.
