@bydjeberle An update on RailRiders pitcher Michael King (elbow discomfort): He's thrown two live BPs and is throwing his first live inning in the Gulf Coast League on Thursday. It's all about building up to five innings now. #Yankees
@bydjeberle More on Michael King: It's looking like his rehab stint will be with Staten Island. He would like to do his 4-and 5-inning outings there on 7/26 and 7/31 (tentatively) with his return to SWB to follow. This is what he's is assuming will happen. Not set in stone. #Yankees

I hope he can follow that schedule. I expected we’d see him in NY sometime this season before he had to be shut down. Now? Probably not, but next year should be on his pathway...

September call up? What about called up just before September so we can get that arm in the post-season bullpen?... wouldn't that be fun if he came up and made a difference?...….if he did not then develop well, it would be said that the Yankees rushed him..

They can break out the old Joba Rules I said then that they should have pushed him and built him into a real pitcher instead of babying him. If I recall, jwild got animated with me because I suggested he was a horse and should be ridden like a horse... lol.., the good old days..,

GF suggested Feyereisen would probably be the next pitcher up from AAA.....why not...the guy is pitching well there....the darned old roster limits may stop the Yankees from bringing him up, but I would rather see him in NY rather than Holder....

I’d like to see what Feyereisen can do too. I’d also like to see Holder back at some point if the minor league staff can do a repair job on him like they did with Green. On the surface, one might think Rothschild to be the more qualified man to fix these guys but after some reflection on the subject I can see where a pitcher who has completely lost his way could benefit from intensive tutelage from a coach at the teaching levels of the game. I don’t think Holder will ever be a high-class shut down pitcher, but he used to be very useful. Sometimes all you need to eat innings and keep the team in the game...

Feyereisen is not on the 40 man roster, so another player would have to get the boot to call him up.

@rpimpsner 7m #Yankees #MiLB RHP Michael King (@7kinger14) threw an inning today for the #GCLYankees. He retired all 3 batters he faced, got one punch out.
If things go well he could be rehabbing with the @siyanks on July 26.
------
Hopefully he can get a clean two months or so of pitching before MiLB season ends.
