Again, with Warren, the issue is command, and these starts with the Yanks are NOT a fair test because... His 1st start against the Phils was on 4 days rest. The next start (the Angels) was on 6 days' rest. The next start (White Sox) was on 6 days' rest The next start (Rockies) was on 10 days' rest This start is again on 6 days rest. If your main problem is command, pitching with multiple days of extra rest will make that problem worse. Nice try, Qwik Command is not his problem. He just gets hit too often and can’t get batters out in critical situations. |

He came into this season so highly heralded, but my understanding is he pitched poorly in AAA. Don't know why they went with him anyway. He's on the 40 man roster, the other options aren't. Well, that explains a lot. |

Gets a change below the knees, hammers it through the 34 hole for a single, Walker slips and almost falls down fielding it, but they'd already held Wells at 2nd. 1st and 2nd, 1 down for Volpe.

Volpe works the count to 1-1, the taps a swinging bunt to the right side, Donovan fields, flips to 1st, 2 down, runners move up to 2nd and 3rd.

But were you say it’s because of the time between starts, I would say he doesn’t have the command to be a MLB pitcher. |

It is amazing we lead the majors in runs scored with a team that hits this poorly. I guess new baseball. I think this is my first comment on a game thread this year lol given that I started them for decades  |

Getting shut down by the retread Gibson. Think back over the decades chi. Is that rare for us? I remember games against pitchers with near 7 era's where we could not buy a hit. Baseball is a strange game. But also I think we are not at our best against bad teams/players. |
