Pulls off a slider going low and outside, 0-1
Starts at a slider well outside, can't check, 1st base ump says "swing", 0-2
Bounces a slider outside to see if Herrera will go after it, but he takes, 1-2. Right idea for that one pitch.
Slider misses low/away by 3 inches, he starts but checks well in time, 2-2
Now would be a good time to back the sinker over the corner away.
But he humps up to 97, on the sinker inside, fouls it off.
Slider on the corner away, hit back to the box, deflects off Cousins to Rizzo's right, he picks it up, has no play, infield hit.
I still wish he had started a sinker off the plate away and tailed it back to the corner, but maybe they were worried Herrera would hit the Porch with it. 1st and 2nd, 1 down, Kahnle coming in to face Nootbaar.

I think Cashman feels they'll make the playoffs with or without Dominquez. But they could really his bat IN the playoffs. I'm hoping that they call him up in a few days or a week as left open by Boone's comments (see misc. thread). I think they will, but not for another week or so. |

Walker is 0-1 vs. Kahnle. Shouldn't say this, but he shouldn't hit him unless he gets a hanger or a mislocated FB.

Yanks a change way outside, Wells makes a great lunge to backhand, saqviing a wild pitch.
And he give him a poorly located FB, waist high, outer 3rd, and he hits a hard grounder through the right side, Soto right on it, hold Arenaado at 3rd with 2 down.

Change well outside, easy take, 1-1
Change dives low/away, taken, 2-1 and now Kahnle in big trouble. He has to come in the zone this pitch or nest.

Fooled by a change dropping below middle, swung over, looking for a granny.
Change dives to the low outside corner, and more controlled swing gets a spoil.
Change above the knees near middle, driven to deep right, Soto goes back, but it gets over him for a 3 run double.
On 2-2, Kanhle cannot miss IN THE ZONE, IN THE MIDDLE
The 2-2 has to be out of the zone. 10-7 Cards.
