Happ gets a curve outside middle on the 1st pitch, hits it to fairly deep left center, but Judge tracks it down to end the inning.
Top 3, 2-1 Yanks.
Nice quick 1-2-3 for Cole in the 2nd, just 8 pitches and 39 through 2.
Top of the order for the Yanks in the 3rd: Torres, Soto and Judge.

Takes a slider inner 3rd, waist high, 0-2
Tries to back the slider over the outside corner, misses by 3-4 inches, 1-2
Slider way low/away, Torres doesn't bite, 2-2
FB inside at the top, Torres late and under, pops it foul over the Yankee dugout off 1st.

Bounces a slider outside, from 0-2 to 3-2, another long at bat from Torres in the leadoff spot.
Backs the sinker to the outer 3rd, above the waist, Torres spoils.
Slider low in the zone lined hard to left center. Crow-Armstrong right on it, prevents it from getting into the gap for a double. Leadoff single for Gleyber.

Cutter off the plate away, Soto reaches and fouls.
Big breaking curve to the knees, near the corner away, Soto early and over it, K's, 1 down.

Judge takes a sinker well down and in, ball 1.
Judge pulls off another one, this one a cutter to the knees, outside middle, 1-1
Swings early over a slider to the knees near middle, 1-2
Throw over, trying to keep Torres close for a DP grounder.
Slider misses well low and a bit outside, Judge doesn't chase, 2-2
Tries to back the sinker over the corner away, again misses by 2-3 inches. Cubs doesn't like it, but the call is correct, 3-2
Cutter misses low/away, Judge lays off, ball 4. 1st and 2nd, 1 out for Wells.

Stanton goes after a 1st pitch sinker to the corner inside, below the top, ties him up, he pops foul halfway between 1st and home, Bellinger comes in and catches, inning over
Yanks get 2 on, but waist the scoring chance. 2-1 Cubs, going bottom 3rd.
21 pitches in the 3rd for Taillon, 55 through 3.
2-3-4 for the Cubs in their half of the 3rd inning: Swanson, Suzuki and Bellinger.

FB above and inside middle, hit hard toward the 56 hole, Volpe dives to his right, can't get it, leadoff single for Swanson.

Suzuki's been too quiet this series...
Takes a FB at 96 about 2 inches high, outside middle, 1-0
FB in almost the same spot, maybe a couple of inches further away, fouled back.

Takes a cutter about 5-6 inches outside, 1-0
FB hits the top of the zone in the middle, but not called; that one was 10-15% on Gameday, so marginal, but this ump is giving Cole NOTHING. Rizzo in to talk to Cole about...the runner? the pitch non-calls??
