Former poster Jay Sierchio is having tests run to see if he will need heart surgery for a condition he’s suffered from for several years. He should know more on Wednesday… That's terrible, I'll be hoping for the best for our old buddy, Sierchio.

He sure is missed around here. Hoping for good news for him. Thank you Inger for letting us know about his situation.

I spoke with Dome this afternoon. His speech was much clearer than last time I spoke with him. We talked about you guys a bit, then the Yanks. He said it wasn’t a great day, but he felt like calling…He’s looking forward to the post season…

Texting with Sierchio today, he said the doctor had made a mistake and his heart is not an issue. Now to find out why he’s always tired feeling. I thought that was just a life requirement for all of us…🤓

I thought that was just a life requirement for all of us…🤓 After months of feeling fatigued, lazy, and forcing himself out of bed, my brother finally went to an internist rather than a GP. The verdict was low testosterone. A week of medication later, he is back to feeling like himself again. Of course, at 74, he's older than Sierchio.

Lots of professional athletes feel that way, but they are paid to keep themselves in that kind of shape, so they can get sleep whenever they need it.

He says he’s had the tiredness issue since his NJ days…so no idea what’s up there…

I never used to take a nap, but now after a round of golf, especially if I walk, I lay down for about 20 minutes when I get home. This has just become a thing in the last 6 months. I turn 70 next year.
ps. I'm from NJ.

As you probably know, I’ve already torn that 70th page off my calendar. If I get drowsy, then DOWN goes inger! Sometimes I set an alarm. Other times I sleep till I’m done…

Set an alarm for the games for the sake all that’s good in the world! 🤓… There are times I've fallen asleep during the game...which is often in the afternoon for me. Sorta bad luck...I've often fallen asleep with Yanks in the lead, wake up to them trailing.

Sorta bad luck...I've often fallen asleep with Yanks in the lead, wake up to them trailing. I’ve come to the point where I’m expecting my third inning nap. Sometimes it’s only one pitch. Sometimes it’s lethal…🤓
