FB misses just high and away, 1-1
Sinker tails well outside, 2-1
Change at the bottom of the zone in the middle, Rizzo goes down, tries to golf it, hits a high fly to the corner in right, Abreu gets under, catches on the track. Almost, Rizzo. Chisholm forgot the number of outs, was tagging up for no reason. Well, that replaces Torres too...occasional mental flatulence.

Takes a FB...right...down...the middle, 1-2. No idea what he was looking for there.
Cutter well outside, Jansen checks in time, 2-2
FB runs inner 3rd waist high, ties him up, he pops it to the right side, Torres calls off Rizzo, catches, 2 down.

Takes a FB just below and inside middle-middle, 2-1
Another curve winds up thigh-high outside middle, he swings over it, 2-2
Takes his timeout.
FB runs up and in, spins him out of there, 3-2
Another curve ends up below and inside middle, and he jumps on it, lined toward Rizzo, he reaches up and grabs it with a tiny leap. Inning over. 89.5 on the lineout.
Bottom 3, 0-0.

Takes a FB near middle, 0-1
Change misses up and in, 1-1
Slider at the knees, outer 3rd, grounded up the middle to the left of 2nd for a leadoff single.
That at bat is Volpe, it was a grounder that found a hole, not hit that well, a lot of outs that way, and really, this season is a disappointment.

Verdugo takes a sinker low.
Slider above the knees in the middle, lined to the corner in right, one-hops the wall, Verdugo runs hard, but stumbles a bit rounding first, allowing Abreu to get him trying to stretch for a double. Volpe to 3rd with 1 down.

Torres fouls off a sinker on the corner inside, 0-1
Takes a change well low, 1-1
Gets a tremendous break the sinker dives 100% into the zone ABOVE the knees, outer half, and it moved so much, the ump gave up on it, calls it a ball, terrible call, 2-1.
Slider misses low/away, 3-1
Sinker in the zone up and in, he inside outs a looper over 3nd into right for a hit, Volpe scores, 1-0 Yanks!

FB up and in brushes him back, 1-0
Change below middle, tops it foul off 1st, 1-1
Change dives low, outer half, 2-1
Fat sinker below and inside middle, hits a knuckling liner, Valdez tries to throw it before he caught it, and he misses it, goes off his glove and behind him, got to be an E-4. 1st and 2nd, 1 down for Judge and Bailey goes to the mound to try to keep Bello's head in the game.

Soto hit that hard, 105.1 but that has to be caught. Valdez wanted to double off Torres before he had it.
Judge gets a 97 sinker on the inner 3rd, fouls it off.
Sinker runs inside by 4-5 inches, 1-1
Sinker away, Judge barely misses, hits a high fly to the corner in right, Abreu gets back, then runs along the wall and lunges to make the backhand catch a step from the wall. Torres tags and moves to 3rd with 2 down. Fine play by Abreu, excellent concentration with both the wall and corner wall to worry about, plus the ball slicing away from him.

two good plays by abreu, a base running blunder and an inning that should have been so much more fizzles.
