Rutchman... Sinker low in the zone outside middle, fouled off, 0-1 Swings over the curve down and in...
Forgot to mention, both O'Neill and Coney in the booth for the big series/potential clincher Cutter backs up to the high outside corner, swung under for the K, 2 down.

Rutschman has been awful for a couple of months now. Didn't see that coming.

Sinker just outside, 1-0 on Santander. Cutter on the outside corner, waist high, swung on and missed. Cutter drops inside at the knees, pulled foul, 1-2 Takes his timeout as Schmidt comes set. Cutter back up and away, taken, 2-2 Same pitch same result, even further high and outside, 3-2 Cutter waist high, outside corner, popped to shortish left toward the line, Verdugo comes in and to his right, catches, inning over.
Bottom 1, 0-0 Excellent 1-2-3 for Schmidt in the 1st, 2 K's and short flyball and 15 pitches.

Rutschman has been awful for a couple of months now. Didn't see that coming. Me, neither. He looked like a future multi-year MVP candidate last season.

Why is Verdugo playing over Dominguez? I don't care about his previous stats against Kremer. Martian needs to play and Verdugo needs to ride pine.

Rutschman has been awful for a couple of months now. Didn't see that coming. I just saw those stats, what's going on with him? He's looked lethargic, like much of the Orioles team. Who would have guessed in early June that in late September the Mets would have a better record than the Orioles?

Torres... Takes a sinker in the zone low and away, 0-1 Takes a slider low and away, 1-1 Cutter well low and outside, 2-1 FB above middle, fouled off, 2-2 Takes his timeout. FB on the high inside corner, muscles a bloop to right, falls in front of Santander for a leadoff single. 5 more pitches seen, another leadoff hit.

Soto goes after a 1st pitch FB above and inside middle, misses late and under, pops to shortish left, Cowser moves toward the stands, catches, 1 down.

Gleyber with another leadoff single. He's almost automatic at this point.
