Volpe... Takes a sinker low, inner 3rd. Sinker inside, pulled hard to the left of 2nd, beats Henderson's dive to his left, gets into left-center for a RBI single, Yanks on the board, down 3-1!!

Some believe CF is the toughest OF position to play. Actually, in many respects, it's the "easiest"... CF requires much more speed and athleticism... Which is exactly what makes it "easier" to play...no limitations, just as SS is "easier" to play than 2B, which requires dealing with many more situations and options.

Slider down the middle, a bit below the waist, late and under, pops it to Santander in right, moves to his right and catches, inning over.
Yanks get one back, trail 3-1, going top 3. 17 pitches in the 2nd for Eflin, 37 through 2. 3-4-5 for the O's: Santander, Cowser and Mountcastle in the 3rd.

Now let's see how well Stroman survives the shutdown inning.

Torres first pitch swinging a guy who’s wild. Always dumb out of him.

Santander takes a curve near middle, thigh high, 0-1 Curve to the inside corner, thigh high, pulled foul, 0-2 Cutter stays outside, waist high, 1-2 Splitter tails low and outside, 2-2 Splitter outside, above the waist, hit hard the other way, but he got under it a bit, and Dominguez goes back and left into the gap, catches, 1 down.

Cowser takes a sinker outside, ball 1. Sinker below and inside middle, pulled hard to Rizzo, he fields, waits and flips to Stroman, 2 down.

Slurve low in the zone outside middle, grounded to the left side, Volpe runs around the backhand, throws before completely setting and throw high over Rizzo, goes into the camera well, two-base error on Volpe.

Stroman only has to throw 2 more pitches because of the error.

O'Hearn takes a sinker outside, ball 1. Cutter on the corner inside ties him up a bit, his high fly to left is an easy play (yes, that's right, I said easy play) for Dominguez, who one-hands it for the 3rd out.
Bottom 3, 3-1 O's. 11 pitches in the 3rd for Stroman, and 54 through 3. Soto, Judge and Wells for the Yanks in their half of the 3rd inning.
