Cade Smith is better than Tim Hill. But, that doesn't mean they both can't put up zeroes. K-BB% of 30% instead of 5%. Yeah, I guess you can say Smith is better. |

Judge fouls off a FB above middle, 0-1 Takes a FB below middle, no idea what he was looking for, 0-2 Takes FB at the 1st pitch, fouled back. Sigh. Splitter dives low and in, Judge swings over for the K, 2 down. That was a filthy splitter. True. But Judge watch a fast ball down the middle of the plate. |

Hamilton comes in for Hill
Thomas takes a FB yanked well outside at 97, ball 1.
Sinker outside, 2-0
Hamliton hasn't pitched since game 2 vs. the Royals.
Sinker down and in, hit just foul off 3rd, 1-1
Slider well low, ball 3.
FB outside at 98, ball 4.
Thomas should be running and fairly soon.

We started good. But have been retired the last I think 11 in a row. Trevino had an RBI single but then got picked off costing us a second run as there was a runner on third with one out. I wish I could say unbelievable but we've seen it for many years now. We better not lose the game because of that bonehead play. |

Schneedmann takes a slider outside, ball 1.
Slider down the middle, hit hard down 1st, Berti knocks it down recovers, looks at 2nd, turns late to Hamilton at 1st, but the throw is on time, Schneemann called safe, but the replay shows he was out, and the Yanks should and will challenge.
Call overturned, works as a sac bunt for Schneemann, man on 2nd, 1 down for Gimenez, who is 0-3 with 2 K's vs. Hamilton.

I wish I could say unbelievable but we've seen it for many years now. We better not lose the game because of that bonehead play. Yankees sometimes wait until the ninth to wake up. Clase gets a bit jumpy against the Yankees. |
