MLB has got to do something about these home plate umpires. It’s terrible on an ongoing basis in both leagues to where it’s affecting the outcome of games. It’s really getting old.

can't predict the outcome of the AB but it should have been a full count. ump took bat out of gleyber's hand. this ump has been all over the place. robo-ump next season ...

Swings over a slider low/away, 2-2, tried to check, couldn't.
Slider low in the middle, he lays off that one, 3-2
Slider in the zone, outer 3rd, looper off the end of the bat, soft liner goes right to Torres at 2nd for the 1st out.

Holmes has pitched well twice in a row now, albeit in relatively low leverage situations.

Change waist high, outer 3rd, bounced down the 1st base line, ruled just foul as Rizzo fields it on the foul side of the line, 0-2
Takes his timeout.
Change winds up low in the middle, lays off it, 1-2
Change tails outside, thigh high, called strike 3. Bullspit makeup call in a much less important situation. about 2-3 inches outside, bad call, and eat my shorts, ump.

Change up in the, swings late and under, popped to short right, Torres calls, Rizzo says "get lost", Soto comes in late, Rizzo hears the footsteps, then catches and ducks out of Soto's way, inning over. Made that one harder than it should've been, defense.

Soto, Judge and Stanton will face Ryan Brasier for LA.
