Bullpen has only given up one run. Offense hasn't taken advantage of the score being held for multiple innings

This is also Brasier's first appearance of the Series.
Soto is 0-5 with 3 K's vs. Brasier. Judge is 3-7 with a 2 run HR, 2 K's and 2 GIDP. Stanton is 3-5 with 2 RBI (1 sac fly), and 2 K

Soto takes a FB up and away, 1-0 Takes a slider low in the middle, 2-0 Takes a 95.6 FB above and outside middle, 2-1 FB near the top, outside middle, he fouls it down, 2-2 The automatic slider, but it's bounced down and in, and Soto checks in time, 3-2 Takes his timeout. Slider below and outside middle, lunges a bit, doesn't get all of it, and his fliner to right is an easy play for Betts moving left, 1 down.

Judge takes a slider down and in, ball 1. Swings inside a FB near the corner away. Pulls off another slider going just low, 1-2 Takes his timeout. Slider low and outside and whew...he takes that one, 2-2 Even better take on a slider that barely missed, 3-2. Brasier looks in hard, but it missed by about 2-3 inches on Gameday, 0%. GOOD JOB. Doesn't chase the 3rd slider in a row, low/away, ball 4.

Stanton tries to jump a FB up in the zone inside middle, misses under it, 0-1 Takes a slider down and in, but low, 1-1 FB runs inside, beats him clean, swung under it again, 1-2 Good backwards pitching, throws a slider up, and it drops into the zone in the middle, Stanton locked up, thinking it was a FB high, ꓘ, 2 down.

The balls they take are being called strikes and the balls they swing at they don't come close to hitting.

Imagine ditching out a couple thousand bucks to watch this clunker in person?

Chisholm... Takes a FB at the knees in the middle, 0-1 Takes a FB waist high, outside corner, 0-2 Takes his timeout. Stop arguing, Jazz, both pitches were in the zone this at bat. Slider low in the middle, lays off, 1-2 Slider down and in, he barely spoils it off his foot. FB just outside, fouled off the left side. FB up and away, chases it for the K, big hack, came up empty.
Top 9, 4-0 Doddgers.
2003; that loss to the Marlins, above all, is the one I hate. More than the Angels in 2002, than the Red Sox in 2004, than the D'backs in 2001, and the Indians in 1997. If you want to know why, the reason is simple: The 2003 Yankees were the much better team, and let that entire pitching staff shut them down, not just Beckett, but guys like Pavano and Brad Penny, who were decent pitchers, nothing more, and because of Wells' stupidity in game 5.

I am happy we got to the WS for the first time in 15 years I doubt we will beat an elite pitching staff with Cashman's view that walks and home runs are all you need offensively. Possibly that is true against bad pitchers - not in the WS.
Next year he will ignore the offensive problems and go out and buy another pitcher.
