Adams moves the ball up, down, in, out. The narrative is his command/control is not quite ready for MLB...I guess that part was what we saw in the first inning... I saw a broken bat bloop single and one hanging slider. Red Sox just aren't making mistakes and having unimaginable luck, offensively and defensively.

I saw the same thing...You can’t be hanging sliders, of course...but it’s going to happen. As for the pitch to Martinez..,well...that was Martinez...it too was a hanger, but dang, he hammered that...

LOL, It’s National Noogie Day!!! I disagree that Ryan should have been ejected. Ventura charged the mound. Ryan protected himself without causing any real physical harm. A few knots on the head never hurt anyone. Especially when they were doing something knot-headed to start with...

Maybe Adams can afford an MLB hair cut after today. He’s a mop-head...

[img alt=" " class="smile" src="//storage.proboards.com/6828121/images/udcwFqPimnXDtjoTmoVL.gif"] I disagree that Ryan should have been ejected. Ventura charged the mound. Ryan protected himself without causing any real physical harm. A few knots on the head never hurt anyone. Especially when they were doing something knot-headed to start with... I'll bet you dollars to doo-doo that if Ventura could go back, he would have just taken the base. More people remember him for that one moment of ignominy than for being a clutch hitter and a gold glove third baseman.

Maybe Adams can afford an MLB hair cut after today. He’s a mop-head... I like it. With all the goofy Steinbrenner rules about what players should or shouldn’t look like it is nice to have a kid that hasn’t been forced to look like he’s been sent to military school. And more importantly, he pitched well.

What a sleepy offense. Not even making Eovaldi work up a sweat. Unless Eo suddenly falls on his face, he may be pitching another Red Sox complete game...
At least in the sixth inning we didn’t hit into a DP...

Much better outing for Adams than I thought he would have. He looked calm, no deer in the headlights. The lineup has turned into what I thought it would when they got Stanton. All or nothing. Can't put three hits together. They really miss Judge.

Just saw a interesting tweet. The most pitches Porcello or Eovaldi have thrown in inning is 13. They each had one of those. Not the late nineties Yankees.

In fact, he’s almost as good-looking as I was back then too...Almost, I said. That means not quite... (:
