Well on the bright side.... Adams pitched credibly in his first start and at least the team put some good ABs together against Kimbrel. Maybe that’s something that can take into tomorrow

Over-management almost lost this one for Cora. I get the reasoning for the pitching change, but there was no way i’d Have pulled Eovaldi unless he got a runner on in the 9th...maybe not then...Hd was killing us... After Cora’s shot at Severino last night, I very much want him to fail. The Sox will make the playoffs and then I hope he’s the reason they don’t advance. |

I'd flip Andujar and Torres in the lineup. Du is seeing the ball well right now.

I also wish Bird wouldn't have swung at the first pitch from Kimbrel. Make him throw strikes, which he wasn't doing well...except for Phil Skuzzball. Bird could have been ahead in the count right away, putting all the pressure on the pitcher.

Unbelievable that Shane Robinson has played in 4 games the last week or so. Shocking. Not in love with giving Adams this start, but like much of the roster right now, a bit of bad luck has run through the organization and made for some weird decisions. Who else would you have started ? As I said, wasn't in love with the decision (thankfully he pitched well enough) but a string of unfortunate circumstances led to him being the only choice. Glad he held us own out there, that type of experience can do wonders for him. |
