Sad that it seems every political appointment always comes to this anymore. There's always seemingly something hiding in the closet, true or false. Is America that full of perverts? I'm assuming people that do these things to be rightfully called perverts. I'm also assuming that people that falsely accuse or jump on the train once it's moving to add their own accusations also to be perverts... Did Trump's presser attack women? He was asked about some women that made claims about him. He answered the question. Should he have not said the claimants were women at that point. "I was accused by some people of a gender I will not specify". That would have gone over well, I suppose, right? We're so sensitive now that we can't even mention the gender of someone who made claims about you that someone asks you about? We're far too politically correct in this nation any more... You cant have an honest conversation with these folks, inger. Dont even bother. Trump saying he thinks this is a Dem smear is not attacking women but thats how these hacks spin it. Dont even bother with these emotional children. They have abandoned all rationality and logic for hatred. Michcusejoe5: Your statement: "They have abandoned all rationality and logic for hatred." Is not only sad, but funny.
It had Tequila & myself laughing so hard. That is basically what WE do with ALL your Posts.
All WE want is the Truth, Facts & Reality...however, when it goes against your Dark Age Beliefs, your type refers to us as Haters, Deviants, etc. etc. etc.
Thoughts to Mull On: If I was the Judge and felt that these Women were lying I would do two things IMMEDIATELY: 1. Insist that the FBI conducts interviews with the Students from those years; AND 2. File Slander Law Suits against these women...
There is just two problems with these two actions:
A. Lying to an FBI agent is a Federal Crime B. A Lawsuit requires Witnesses be Dispose UNDER OATH--if they lie, they could face Perjury Charges.
The last item to focus on:
Why would Ford expose herself not only to our Nation but to the World & undergo Public Questioning? Why would she come forward, where it Disrupted her entire life and to receive Death threats?
For Inger: You continue to shock us = This has NOTHING (Sexual Assaults/Rapes, etc.) to do with being Politically Correct. It is about uncovering the Truth/Crime and realizing how many Women have been Sexually Assault/Rape in America in past decades and it continues as we speak.
I have stated for many years, that in America we have a Sexual Assault/Rape Culture...when one looks at the Facts of how many Women/Men are sexually assaulted and how few report these Vile, Disgusting & Evil CRIMES. As one of the Top Industrial Nations in the World (supposedly CIVILIZATION)--compared to other LIKE Countries (Not Third World Countries, etc.) = WE HAVE A MAJOR PROBLEM.
SAD, are we about to put a Judge on the SC that MIGHT have LIED and MIGHT Committed these awful Acts?
Why are you (Joe) & Congress along with Donald so damn against/afraid of a FBI investigation as I stated above???
By the way her Testimony (so far) TODAY was very convincing.

It’s the second time in as many weeks that Carlson has blamed victims of abuse for failing to protect “the other 320 million people who live here” while discussing the allegations leveled by research psychologist Christine Blasey Ford against Supreme Court nominee Brett Kavanaugh.
The professor at Palo Alto University in California, who goes by Christine Blasey professionally, has said that she feared Kavanaugh “might inadvertently kill” her as he held her down and groped her while they were high school students in the 1980s.
“Sex offenders tend to commit serial sex crimes. Doesn’t she have an obligation to tell someone? To stop him from doing that if he is, in fact, a sex criminal?” Carlson asked radio host Ethan Bearman. “Where’s her obligation here? What about the rest of us?”
He continued: “And I know it’s hard, but why don’t we have a right to know? If there’s a rapist on the loose, if you don’t tell anybody … if Bernie Madoff rips you off and you don’t tell his other investors … you’re part of the problem, are you not?”
--09-27-18: www.msn.com/en-us/news/politics/gop-gov-no-vote-on-kavanaugh-without-independent-investigation/ar-BBNCqgr?li=BBnb4R7 Massachusetts Gov. Charlie Baker (R) on Thursday said the Senate should not vote on Supreme Court nominee Brett Kavanaugh's confirmation until there is an external investigation into allegations of sexual misconduct against him.
Baker's comments came as the first of Kavanaugh's accusers, Christine Blasey Ford, began to give testimony on her accusations in front of the Senate Judiciary Committee. Ford has said that Kavanaugh pinned her to a bed during a high school party in the 1980s, tried to remove her clothes and covered her mouth with his hand when she tried to yell for help. Baker was the second Republican governor in two days to call on the Senate to hold off on a vote on Kavanaugh's confirmation. Ohio Gov. John Kasich (R) on Wednesday said that holding off on a vote and conducting an independent investigation would be "in the best interest of our country and the integrity of the court."
The Senate Judiciary Committee, which will also hear Thursday from Kavanaugh, is planning to hold a vote on Kavanaugh's confirmation on Friday, followed by a Senate floor vote early next week. READ MORE…
09-27-18: www.msn.com/en-us/news/world/texas-lawmaker-denies-sexual-misconduct-allegations/ar-BBNBYt9?li=BBnbcA1 Texas state Sen. Charles Schwertner doubled down on his denial of sending sexually explicit messages to a graduate student by hiring legal counsel on Wednesday amid his re-election campaign, The Dallas Morning News reported.
Reports emerged Tuesday that the GOP candidate and practicing orthopedic surgeon had allegedly texted a female student at the University of Texas saying, “I just really want to f--- you,” in addition to sending a picture of his genitals.
The woman said she had met Schwertner, a UT alumnus, during an on-campus event and expressed interest in working in the state legislature. The woman reported Schwertner to the university after the alleged exchange, according to unnamed school officials. The woman was not named in the report.
TEXAS STATE SENATOR ACCUSED OF SENDING SEXUAL MESSAGES AND PHOTOS TO GRAD STUDENT
Schwertner, 48, has denied the woman’s claims. In a joint statement, Schwertner’s attorneys said, “We have spent hours with Senator Schwertner and others regarding these claims. Senator Schwertner did not send any inappropriate texts as alleged. Period.”
Meanwhile, Schwertner’s Democratic challenger, Meg Walsh, was quick to link the Senator to U.S. Supreme Court nominee Brett Kavanaugh who is embroiled in sexual assault allegations by three women ahead of his Friday confirmation.
"Like most Texas women, I have dealt with workplace harassment throughout my career," Walsh said. "Women must feel safe in schools, work, at home and the Texas Capitol. Women must be believed and heard when these incidents occur, no matter if the offender is a boss, friend, U.S. Supreme Court nominee or Texas state senator."
Lt. Gov. Dan Patrick accused UT officials of “potentially jeopardizing the integrity of a serious investigation,” by contacting the media.
"I am calling on the university to complete their inquiry in a professional manner, protecting the privacy rights of both parties," Patrick said.
Schwertner’s attorneys insisted the public hold judgement “until (Schwertner) is afforded the opportunity for a fair process to occur.”
They said Schwertner has been “in contact with the University of Texas to resolve the matter.” The university said it will ban the GOP senator from the campus if the allegations are true. READ MORE…

It doesnt really matter what you would do. I would imagine a federal judge is a little more measured than a drunk parrot.
Every named witness in the Ford case has already issued a sworn statement to the United States Senate. Are you suggested that every one of them have perjured themselves?
The New York Times and New Yorker could not get a single person from Yale, among dozens, to provide first hand corroboration of the Ramirez incident. Are you suggesting they just didnt look hard enough and another few dozen would have done the trick?
I am not even going to get into the charlatan Avenatti claims that Kavanaugh ran a roving gang rape ring as a 16 year old. That farce is not worth my time.

All these references to the FBI are worthless. The only reason the FBI was involved in the Clarence Thomas situation was because the assaults were alleged to have occurred on federal property. They do not routinely investigate sexual assault cases. So poop on that idea.
There is an investigation currently ongoing. Decisions will be arrived at after due diligence. All I’m saying is that I am currently satisfied that the process will reveal the truth. When it does if it is found that assaults occurred that Mr. Kavanaugh will not be approved for the position on the Supreme Court.
I do not support rape nor sexual assault in any way. Nor do I support false accusations. At this time I don’t feel that I know the truth, therefore I am waiting for the results of this hearing in the Senate. This hearing is part of our due process. I will not condemn until all facts are known. If those facts bear out reason for condemnation, I will gladly condemn whomever deserves such. Kabish?...
As for michcusejoe5, I don’t speak for him, but I can read and I comprehend pretty well. Unless I’ve misunderstood, he has said the same in so many words. So I really don’t get the joke that’s causing all the giggling in DOMEWORLD.
As for you and chuck, I perceive that you are NOT waiting for due process to condemn in admirable support of the horrible crimes that have been perpetrated on women. While admirable, I see that as a premature judgement in this situation. I join you in support for women. I never had a women make such accusations against me. In fact. I would say that I have been extremely cautious in my approach to women all my life.
But I have been falsely accused of making a filthy remark to a women in a public place, not by the woman herself, who said she never heard the remark, but by a bystander who apparently misconstrued a statement. It’s not a fun position to be in. I did semi-successfully defend myself, but I feel the ladie’s father, who was also my employer at the time retained doubts. That’s how these things work. One accused a stain remains...Guilty or not...

And WHAT Due Diligence? These are New Allegations pouring in after the FBI Investigation. Again Chuck & I (plus Millions of others America), are only interested in the FACTS, the TRUTH & REALITY which the GOP will not allow to happen.
What ongoing Investigation...there isn't one by the FBI. And yes, Donald has the Power to Order the FBI to re-investigation based on these new allegations.
None of US knows the TRUTH and probably never will.
THE GOOD NEWS: Ford Testimony was very, very, very Convincing. AND; this whole thing has just DRIVEN more Women to vote against the Serial Liar's Party (GOP) and might be the TIPPING POINT.
Maybe You & Joe should form your own Political Party and called it The Party of The ________________(No, tequila, I cannot print that, for I still like Inger; but yes you can laugh, for I am).

Well. I was fortunate enough to have time to watch the hearings for about an hour or so this morning. I hear that the committee also has some calling out the FBI for not investigating.
I don’t know under what circumstances they would investigate, but I do know that they were not willing due to lack of known dates and places AND also a statement was issued that the Thomas case was alleged to have occurred on federal property made that investigation an automatic response for them.
Perhaps if more evidence is submitted and the Senate is unable to come to s conclusion they can be called in? I dunno...
I did see a dangerous position being taken by some of the questioners of showing premature support for Ford for “coming forward” and pushing the agenda that these things happening is commonplace. Not that they’re not, mind you. But making this case a paragon example before all information is in could blow up in their faces.
There was also a strong point made by questioners (whom I would expect to be neutral through the process) that Ford was “testifying, while Kavanaugh and his potential witnesses have not”. Well I would think it would be very wise to hear the accusations in toto before composing your defense. How can you defend a story you haven’t heard yet? In any event, SOMEBODY had to speak first. I wonder if that had been Kavanaugh if he would be getting the same compliment? No. I really don’t wonder about that. I’m quite certain he wouldn’t.
More on this later...I was only mildly interested in this case before I read this thread, so thanks, guys... I think... (:

Dome, I’m going to report you as a parrot-humper and tell Tequila that you’ve been humping other parrots. Then, I’ll get Michcuse to report it a couple of days later and he’ll call one of his friends and have him ask two more to report it as the truth. Is that going to make it true? Will Tequila instantly believe us, or will she perhaps say she knows you better than that?...

DOME, I have to give you credit. You said it. NONE of us knows the TRUTH. Yet, you’re ready to drop the axe on this guy... And this is precisely the problem. We literally have sitting US Senators saying there is no presumption of innocence. As I stated in a prior post, this sentiment is horrifying. That this is a criminal court of law or not is not relevant. This completely and unequivocally undermines the ideals of the American republic and that of a free society. That is what is at stake here, this is NOT about one man being on the Supreme Court. Partisans fighting on the grounds of politics, which is most (on both sides), fail to understand that. Those fighting on the grounds of principle and values realize how much bigger this is than Kavanaugh.

Well, I think we should have him investigated. I won’t condemn him yet. I think that’s the fair way to approach this. First, before we go to all that trouble though, i sort like the old boy. Maybe we should just ask him if it’s true.
Dome, are you, or have you ever been a parrot-humper?...

Well Dome and Chuck, I don’t mean to be a shot here, but this is how character assassination works. Of course I don’t believe Dome to be a parrot-humper. I see him as a friend on the site and would never want to upset him, nor his parrot. I’ve got to see about three hours today because we had an appointment with an electrician here today.
I found the testimony on both sides to be compelling and interesting. I can’t decide anything based on what I’ve seen or heard at this point...
If the FBI will investigate, perhaps that’s better than having partisans openly supporting or bashing one person or the other while questioning. They seem to think they’re prosecuting attornies are advocates rather than acting as impartial questioners.
Anyway, dome and chuck. I always enjoy posting with you and look forward to further discourse on this and many other subjects. Michcusejoe5, I guess you’re all right too... (:
