INGER: Tequila & I are rolling in laughter about your post about Mrs. Biden’s Thesis. ******************** If you would read it, you’d see what I mean. I could have done that well in 7th grade... Yeah, but you didn’t. Unless you have a PhD or EdD that I don’t know about. I do not understand the hypocrisy and hostility being targeted on a national level toward someone who merely received a degree. If the person had cheated or had someone take a test for them or plagiarized another’s work, etc., then the person should be open to such negative scrutiny. But, just because someone worked and earned a degree? What is the purpose?

But Mr. Oliver taught us how so we’d be prepared to one later. We did have to do a dissertation in 9th grade. He said he didn’t want anyone who went through his class to say that they left there unprepared to do a dissertation. I don’t recall the grade I got on mine, but I did well. Anyway, perhaps it had to with more than just Tucker. It may have had a bit to do with some other stations and general discussion lavishing praise on her as if she had just solved some humanitarian crisis. I think the reason the President-elect gave drew my curiosity and ire. She wanted to have a title. The vanity of it all... The little rich girl wanted to be special. You do have to give Carlson credit for some high comedy though. That Dr. Pepper line was a classic. I only check his bits out when I see clips of him floating around. And YOU were dead on about Tucker --I feel he is beyond VILE--EVIL & DISGUSTING (For his RECENT Virus rants/lies & so, so, so much more...)
Now Tucker is ranting that Blacks/Hispanics/Minorities will get the vaccine before White Folks and is making it a RACE THING of course. And you should hear his guests that he brings in in relation to this topic --PURE HATE!!!
Of course Tucker knows that the MAJORITY of Essential Workers are Minorities and as such have suffered the some of the Highest Death Rates.
But that doesn't matter to him--I wonder IF INGER will defend him since Tucker is a friend of Donald???
DO ME’S THOUGHTS: The Fringed Lunatic Element of the GOP (includes Donald, GOP Followers, Media Outlets & Yes, MANY GOP Politicians, etc.) have not only taken control of their party; but they have gone over the top, with either inciting others and/or stating Dead Threats across America to Govt. Officials (Govt. Officials—many that are GOP), Health Officials, etc. in regards to the Election and/or the Pandemic Restrictions (that are put into place to save lives).
I have always stated for many years that when it comes to these Lunatics = ‘It is their way or NO WAY’. And as we have seen, they do not hesitate to incite/use Death Threats and/or Violence.
THESE ARE VERY DANGEROUS TIMES = Not only does Donald appear to have lost his mind but the Extreme actions being discussed by GOP Politicians, GOP Followers, Extreme Groups, The WH & Donald etc. can END VERY UGLY. Uglier than all of is combined could ever imagine.

Fox News anchor Chris Wallace took a not-so-veiled shot at his Fox colleagues who have obsessed over soon-to-be first lady Jill Biden’s use of the title “doctor,” noting on Sunday that other prominent figures who aren’t medical doctors have used it and there’s never been a “fuss about that.”
Following a heavily mocked Wall Street Journal op-ed that suggested Biden using “Dr.” to highlight her doctorate in education was “fraudulent” and “comic,” Fox News host Tucker Carlson spent several days harping on the topic. At one point, he ran down her dissertation and called Biden “illiterate,” prompting at least one advertiser to distance itself from Carlson’s primetime program.
Towards the end of his Fox News Sunday morning interview with Biden press secretary Jen Psaki, Wallace brought up the uproar from the right over Jill Biden’s title, wondering aloud if this was selective outrage.
“There has been some criticism recently from conservatives, including some conservatives on Fox News, about the fact that first lady-to-be Jill Biden goes by the title ‘Dr.,’” the veteran anchor said.
“I wonder, what is the Bidens’ reaction to that, especially given the fact that so many people over the years—I think of Dr. Henry Kissinger, the Reverend Dr. Martin Luther King—have gone by the title doctor even though they’re not medical doctors and nobody seems to have made a fuss about that,” he added.
Psaki, for her part, responded that Wallace was “exactly right” and that it was “perplexing” to her that there would be so much energy devoted to this media-driven controversy considering that the country is dealing with a devastating pandemic and millions of Americans are out of work.MUST READ:

CNN’s Brian Stelter warned that President Donald Trump and conservative media outlets are facilitating a “radicalization” of Americans, which could have dire consequences for the country.
On Sunday, Stelter led Reliable Sources by saying pro-Trump media is permeating “radicalization” around the country by giving air to election-denialism, talks of secession, and calls for a post-election uprising.
As Stelter warned of the consequences for when people latch onto conspiracy theories, he lamented the use of the word “radicalization,” but said “it’s way past time to talk about this honestly.”
“No one should tip-toe past this predicament,” he said.
Stelter continued by remarking on the disinformation being pushed out by QAnon, and a number of pro-Trump media outlets, all of whom have given air to conspiracy theories in their own capacity.
He noted that the term “radicalization” is typically applied to terrorists or violent criminals, but media outlets and the Internet have given many people plenty of spaces to fall into an echo chamber where they might embrace extremism.
“QAnon is one clear, recent example. So is stop the steal, And so are some corners of the anti-vaccination movement,” Stelter said. “Reporters see what’s going on. They are seeing signs of this radicalization in American politics and some are calling it like it is.”***--12-20-20: www.msn.com/en-us/news/opinion/trump-is-losing-his-mind/ar-BB1c5sBK?li=BBnb7Kz Trump Is Losing His MindThe latest manifestation of this is a report in The New York Times that the president is weighing appointing the conspiracy theorist Sidney Powell, who for a time worked on his legal team, to be special counsel to investigate imaginary claims of voter fraud.
As if that were not enough, we also learned that former National Security Adviser Michael Flynn, who was pardoned by the president after pleading guilty to lying to the FBI, attended the Friday meeting.
Earlier in the week, Flynn, a retired lieutenant general, floated the idea (which he had promoted before) that the president impose martial law and deploy the military to “rerun” the election in several closely contested states that voted against Trump. It appears that Flynn wants to turn them into literal battleground states.
None of this should come as a surprise. Some of us said, even before he became president, that Donald Trump’s Rosetta Stone, the key to deciphering him, was his psychology—his disordered personality, his emotional and mental instability, and his sociopathic tendencies.
It was the main reason, though hardly the only reason, I refused to vote for him in 2016 or in 2020, despite having worked in the three previous Republican administrations. Nothing that Trump has done over the past four years has caused me to rethink my assessment, and a great deal has happened to confirm it.
Given Trump’s psychological profile, it was inevitable that when he felt the walls of reality close in on him—in 2020, it was the pandemic, the cratering economy, and his election defeat—he would detach himself even further from reality. It was predictable that the president would assert even more bizarre conspiracy theories.
That he would become more enraged and embittered, more desperate and despondent, more consumed by his grievances. That he would go against past supplicants, like Attorney General Bill Barr and Georgia Governor Brian Kemp, and become more aggressive toward his perceived enemies.
That his wits would begin to turn, in the words of King Lear. That he would begin to lose his mind.
So he has. And, as a result, President Trump has become even more destabilizing and dangerous--12-20-20 S TUPID BE CRAZY/DANGEROUS: slate.com/news-and-politics/2020/12/trump-tap-sidney-powell-special-counsel-voter-fraud.html Trump Sought to Tap Conspiracy Theorist Sidney Powell as Special Counsel on Voter Fraud
President Donald Trump is still eager to push the message that he won the election even though there’s no evidence to support his baseless claims of election fraud.
He’s so intent on continuing the efforts that at a Friday meeting he discussed naming attorney Sidney Powell as a special counsel to investigate the presidential election.
Powell is the attorney who spewed crackpot conspiracy theories that there was a plot by Venezuela to rig voting machines used in the presidential election.
Most people at the meeting opposed the plan, which was first reported by the New York Times but later confirmed by others. It isn’t clear whether Trump will pursue it anyway. Popular in News & Politics
The meeting where the issue of appointing Powell was raised included lots of yelling and screaming as some were accused of not doing enough to try to overturn the election results.
The meeting comes amid concern by senior White House officials that Trump is increasingly listening to his most fringe advisers and might abuse his power as president in the last weeks in office. Former national security adviser Michael Flynn, for example, has publicly floated the idea of imposing martial law and Trump asked about the idea at the Friday meeting.
The White House counsel, Pat A. Cipollone, and the White House chief of staff, Mark Meadows, reportedly strongly pushed back against the ideas raised by Trump.
When the president is “retweeting threats of putting politicians in jail, and spends his time talking to conspiracy nuts who openly say declaring martial law is no big deal, it’s impossible not to start getting anxious about how this ends,” a senior administration official tells Axios.--AND –12-20-20: us.yahoo.com/news/trump-bonkers-oval-office-meeting-193213342.html Trump’s Bonkers Oval Office Meeting With Sidney Powell Was Even Too Much for Rudy
Sidney Powell’s insane claims about the election being stolen have left judges across the country shaking and scratching their heads. But during a bonkers Oval Office meeting with her on Friday night, President Trump floated the idea of appointing her as a special counsel investigating voter fraud.
Two sources familiar with the matter confirmed to The Daily Beast that Trump and Powell held the Friday meeting to discuss their baseless theories of mass election fraud.
According to The New York Times, which first reported the meeting, some aides were left in shock at Trump’s suggestion of making Powell a special counsel. Even Rudy Giuliani, Trump’s most loyal foot soldier in his election fraud crusade, was against the idea.
Trump Says He’ll Fight On. His Campaign HQ Is Literally Taking Down His Name.
Powell was reportedly accompanied in the Oval Office by her former client, Michael Flynn, the ex-national security adviser who recently suggested that Trump should invoke martial law to allow the military to “re-run” the election. During the meeting, Trump asked about Flynn’s suggestion, the Times reported.
Powell, who has espoused QAnon beliefs, has spouted numerous convoluted and bizarre election conspiracy theories, too. She has claimed that the 2020 election was rigged by forces from Venezuela, China, and the company that makes voting machines, among others.
Faced with repeated legal losses and no real evidence of massive voter fraud, Powell nonetheless accused other aides of being quitters during the meeting, according to the Times.
A source quoted by CNN on Saturday described the meeting as “ugly” after Powell and Flynn lashed out at others. “It was heated, people were really fighting it out in the Oval,” the source was quoted saying.--12-09-20 THIS IS SO DISGUSTING & VERY DANGEROUS –WILL GET FOLKS KILLED—NO LONGER FREEDOM OF SPEECH:www.msn.com/en-us/news/us/opinion-tucker-carlsons-vaccine-rant-should-be-called-out-by-every-reputable-news-organization/ar-BB1c3zXd?li=BBnbfcL
Opinion: Tucker Carlson's vaccine rant should be called out by every reputable news organization
The First Amendment offers wide protection for free speech in America. But that right to express an opinion is not unlimited.
Everyone knows you can't run into a crowded theater and yell fire. There are also long-established limits on what you can lawfully say and write about individuals and organizations.
During a deadly pandemic, spreading disinformation about the novel coronavirus is the equivalent of yelling fire in that crowded theater. The result is the same: it puts people's lives at risk.
Yet, over the last nine months, Fox News has done everything in its power to discourage the behavior needed to mitigate the risk of contracting the virus.
And now, as cases in the US exceed 17 million, Fox News -- with Tucker Carlson being one of the chief carnival barkers on this one -- is fanning the flames of skepticism around the Covid-19 vaccine.
Carlson openly encouraged people to be suspicious of what he described as the "glitzy" vaccine rollout on Thursday and went on to say, "So, how are the rest of us supposed to respond to a marketing campaign like this?
Well, nervously. Even if you're strongly supportive of vaccines, and we are, even if you recognize how many millions of lives have been saved over the past 50 years by vaccines, and we do, it all seems a bit much. It feels false, because it is. It's too slick."

He started by taking a sort of "just asking questions" encouragement of anti-vax sentiment against the Pfizer COVID-19 vaccine, which he also did Thursday, and then pivoted to saying that it's "eugenics" that non-healthcare essential workers — who are predominantly lower class and people of color — will get the vaccine earlier than white people.
You would be right to find it perplexing that he could take both of those stances at once, because why would he care who gets the vaccine first if he doesn't think the vaccine is trustworthy anyway?
ELECTION FRAUD NEWS: Inger: Didn’t you recently post about Dominion Voting Systems???!!! --12-20-20 THEY GOT CAUGHT LYING LIKE A DOG!!!: us.yahoo.com/huffpost/fox-news-lou-dobbs-smartmatic-lawsuit-threat-134208148.html Lou Dobbs' Vote Fraud Lies Debunked On His Program After Legal Threat By Vote Tech Firm
Fox Business host Lou Dobbs aired a segment on his program Friday debunking his own screeds about election fraud following a legal threat from a company he’s been baselessly attacking.
Dobbs featured a nonpartisan election expert who shot down his attacks after Fox News, which owns Fox Business, received a letter from a lawyer representing the election tech company Smartmatic.
“There are lots of opinions about the integrity of the election,” Dobbs said at the start of the segment, before turning to a pretaped interview with Edward Perez of the nonprofit Open Source Election Technology Institute contradicting his claims about Smartmatic.
The detailed 20-page letter from Smartmatic demanded a “full and complete retraction of all false and defamatory statements and reports” aired by the network in its coverage of the presidential election. Similar letters were sent to media outlets Newsmax and One America News, which regularly back Donald Trump.
“Fox News has engaged in a concerted disinformation campaign against Smartmatic,” the letter stated. “Fox News told its millions of viewers and readers that Smartmatic was founded by [the late Venezuelan President] Hugo Chávez, that its software was designed to fix elections, and that Smartmatic conspired with others to defraud the American people and fix the 2020 U.S. election by changing, inflating, and deleting votes.”
The claims are categorically false, stated the letter, which included quotes from Dobbs that it slammed as “false and defamatory statements/implications.”
Fox News, Newsmax and One America News could have “easily discovered the falsity of the statements and implications made about Smartmatic by investigating their statements before publishing them to millions of viewers and readers,” the letter noted.
The letter said the three media operations have exaggerated the company’s role in the elections, and that Smartmatic was involved with only Los Angeles County’s publicly owned voting system.
As part of a scramble to avoid being sued by the company, the same fact-checking segment was aired on Fox News’ “Justice With Judge Jeanine” Saturday night. It is also scheduled to air on “Sunday Morning Futures,” hosted by Maria Bartiromo, on Sunday, Fox News told The Washington Post.
The letter noted both programs had spewed false, defamatory information, including in statements given on the programs by Trump personal attorney Rudy Giuliani and QAnon-supporting lawyer Sidney Powell.
Trump alarmed his aides Friday as he revealed at a meeting in the Oval Office that he was considering naming Powell as a special counsel to investigate his imagined election fraud.
Dominion Voting Systems, which was also baselessly attacked by Trump supporters, demanded this week that Powell retract her statements about its voting systems.
“Your reckless disinformation campaign is predicated on lies that have endangered Dominion’s business and the lives of its employees,” lawyers for the company wrote. QUOTE OF THE DAY: --“…And a preponderance of the American public, having lived through the past four years, deserves credit for canceling this presidential freak show rather than renewing it. The “exhausted majority” wasn’t too exhausted to get out and vote, even in a pandemic. But the Trump presidency will leave gaping wounds nearly everywhere, and ruination in some places. Truth as a concept has been battered from the highest office in the land on an almost hourly basis. The Republican Party has been radicalized, with countless Republican lawmakers and other prominent figures within the party having revealed themselves to be moral cowards, even, and in some ways especially, after Trump was defeated. During the Trump presidency, they were so afraid of getting crosswise with him and his supporters that they failed the Solzhenitsyn test: “The simple act of an ordinary brave man is not to participate in lies, not to support false actions! His rule: Let that come into the world, let it even reign supreme—only not through me.” During the past four years, the right-wing ecosystem became more and more rabid. Many prominent evangelical supporters of the president are either obsequious, like Franklin Graham, or delusional, like Eric Metaxas, and they now peddle their delusions as being written by God.

…Powell has been stingingly criticized for promoting a bizarre conspiracy theory that Americans working with Venezuela, China, Serbia, Canada, Venezuela, Cuba, the CIA, billionaire philanthropist George Soros and the Clinton Foundation (among others) plotted to rig the presidential election against Trump by tampering with voting machines.
She has filed a series of failed, typo-riddled lawsuits challenging the election results.
Trump has continued his connection with the QAnon supporter — even after the campaign ousted her from its legal team to distance itself from her disturbingly wild theories.
NEWS OF THE DAY:
--12-20-20: us.yahoo.com/entertainment/frantic-white-house-aides-talk-201436382.html ‘Frantic’ White House Aides Talk Trump Out of Doing a Good Thing
White House staffers have finally found the line they won’t cross when it comes to supporting President Trump. That line is helping ordinary Americans.
The Washington Post‘s Jeff Stein reported that Trump told allies on a Thursday call that he wanted Covid-19 relief checks to be “at least” $1,200-2,000 per person and was preparing to publicly call on Congress to include those checks in their Covid-19 bill.
Payments of that size would provide meaningful relief to people who are suffering, as well as stimulating the economy as a whole. What they would not do, however, is line up with Republican stinginess that has capped the aid checks at $600 in the bill working its way through Congress.
And so Trump’s aides — who stood by while Trump tried to steal an election, who stuck with him while he winked at Proud Boys and gassed civil rights protesters, who indulged him while he downplayed Covid for his political gain — decided this was a bridge too far, the Post reported. Per a Post source who heard the conversation, the aides were “frantic” about Trump pushing for larger payments and successfully talked him out of it.
“The aides were really frantic, saying, ‘We can’t do this. It will blow up negotiations,'” the source said.
Trump, who never backs down when it’s time to punch down, decided this time to drop one of the few decent impulses he’s ever had, instead deferring to his aides and holding the line with Sen. Majority Leader Mitch McConnell.--12-20-20: www.bloomberg.com/opinion/articles/2020-12-20/covid-19-and-solarwinds-america-keeps-paying-for-trump-s-incompetence?srnd=premium America Isn’t Finished Paying for Trump’s Incompetence. Vaccine rollout confusion and the Russian cyberattack are reminders that the president isn’t doing his job.
I realized that America doesn’t need more ‘all-talk, no-action’ politicians running things. It needs smart businesspeople who understand how to manage. We don’t need more political rhetoric — we need more common sense. ‘If it ain’t broke, don’t fix it’ — but if it is broke, let’s stop talking about it and fix it. I know how to fix it.
Trump’s book, like all his nonfiction works of fiction, was a self-promotional exercise at odds with his true history as an inept bungler. The point of my column back then was that Trump was campaigning for a job that was likely to elude him, regardless of how voters felt about him. Nothing in his past had prepared him for the presidency or for effectively managing a bureaucracy as complex, influential and sprawling as the federal government.--12-20-20 SO STUPID & DAMAGING – SEE THE ANTI-VACS—GOP—EXTREMISTS: www.nbcnews.com/news/us-news/recall-effort-against-california-governor-attempt-destabilize-political-system-analysts-n1251498 Recall effort against California governor an attempt to 'destabilize the political system,' analysts say "We wouldn't have been as successful as we've been if it weren't for Gavin Newsom," a Recall Gavin 2020 organizer said. LOS ANGELES — Less than two years into office, California Gov. Gavin Newsom is being forced to defend his job. Battered by several crises, including the coronavirus pandemic, crippling unemployment, devastating wildfires and one very poorly timed fancy dinner, Newsom faces a recall effort that shows no signs of slowing. A petition to oust Newsom has more than half the signatures needed to trigger a special election, said Orrin Heatlie, who is leading the Recall Gavin 2020 campaign. Volunteers had collected 844,000 signatures by Tuesday, he said. The recall campaign must gather 1.5 million signatures by mid-March to force an election, and it will need a surplus of signatures because some are likely to be disqualified during the certification process. "He has done this to himself," Heatlie said. "We wouldn't have been as successful as we've been if it weren't for Gavin Newsom." Dan Newman, a spokesman for the governor, said Californians will have to decide whether they want a "distraction and circus" to pull attention away from the state's problems. He said a special election could cost taxpayers upward of $100 million as the state works to distribute Covid-19 vaccinations, reopen schools and kick-start the economy.
"This is a ragtag crew of pro-Trump, anti-vaccine extremists, along with some ambitious Republican politicians who would like to be governor," Newman said. "I don't think it's something anyone wants. I'd be surprised if Californians wanted to spend the extra money and have another election the following year."--12-20-20 STUPID BE STUPID: us.yahoo.com/news/trump-campaign-again-ask-u-211900159.html Trump campaign will again ask U.S. high court to upend election results(Reuters) - President Donald Trump's campaign said on Sunday it would again ask the U.S. Supreme Court to overturn results from the Nov. 3 election, its latest long-shot effort to subvert the electoral process and sow doubt over the legitimacy of President-elect Joe Biden's victory. In a statement issued by the campaign, Trump lawyer Rudy Giuliani said the campaign had filed a petition asking the high court to reverse three rulings by a Pennsylvania state court interpreting the state's rules for mail-in ballots. “The Campaign’s petition seeks to reverse three decisions which eviscerated the Pennsylvania Legislature’s protections against mail ballot fraud," Giuliani said in a statement. Giuliani said the filing sought all "appropriate remedies," including an order allowing Pennsylvania's Republican-controlled legislature to award the state's 20 electoral votes to Trump. Biden won the state by more than 80,000 votes. The petition is "frivolous" and is not going to stop Biden from becoming president on Jan. 20, said Joshua Douglas, an election law professor at the University of Kentucky.
"The Court will shut it down quickly," Douglas said.

Almost 8 million people have fallen into poverty since the summer. Savings for many, especially the lowest earners, are either dwindling or gone. Some initial evidence suggested the virus began in bats, which infected another animal that may have spread it to people at one of Wuhan, China’s “wet markets.” Such markets sell fresh meat, fish and vegetables, and some also sell live animals, such as chickens, that are butchered on site to ensure freshness for consumers. The information quickly got distorted in the U.S., spurring racist memes on social media that portrayed Chinese people as bat eaters responsible for spreading the virus, and reviving century-old tropes about Asian food being dirty. Fueling the fire, President Donald Trump repeatedly referred to COVID-19 as “the China virus.” “That old-school rhetoric that we eat bats, dogs and rats — that racism is still alive and well," said Clarence Kwan, creator of the anti-racist cooking zine “Chinese Protest Recipes.” The speed with which such false stereotypes resurfaced during the pandemic is "a reflection of how little progress we’ve made,” Kwan said. In the Wuhan market where the virus is believed to possibly have originated, vendors also advertised wildlife for sale. Of the 33 samples from the market that tested positive for the coronavirus, officials say 31 were from the area where wildlife booths were concentrated. But wildlife and other “exotic” animals are not part of the modern mainstream Asian diet, either in Asian countries or in the U.S. All of the misinformation has had serious consequences. Stop AAPI Hate, a coalition of Asian American advocacy groups, issued a report in August stating that it had received more than 2,500 reports of hate and discrimination across the country since the group was founded in March, around the time the outbreak began to seriously worsen in the U.S. The group said it received data from 47 states, with 46% of the incidents taking place in California, followed by 14% in New York. In addition, Asian American small businesses have been among the hardest hit by the economic downturn during the pandemic. While there was a 22% decline in all small business-owner activity nationwide from February to April, Asian American business-owner activity dropped by 26%, according to a study by the National Bureau of Economic Research. Many businesses that survived have been subject to stigmatization, Kwan said. “Restaurants have been vandalized. As if the pandemic wasn’t hard enough, there’s this added threat to Asian businesses of this lingering hate.” --12-20-20 BRAVO TO GENERAL—FLYNN IS STUPID & DANGEROUS: us.yahoo.com/news/former-special-operations-head-decries-202907185.html Former Special Operations head decries Michael Flynn's 'totally inappropriate' call for military to overturn election
Retired Gen. Michael Flynn, the freshly pardoned former national security adviser who has since dove into a conspiratorial rabbit hole, has once again called for the military to step in and overturn the 2020 election results.
In a Friday appearance on the right-wing network Newsmax, Flynn insisted that he's "not calling for" martial law — something he has endorsed in the past. He'd simply like President Trump to order the military to "rerun an election" in swing states, earning condemnation from current and former military officials alike.
In response to a clip of Flynn's Newsmax appearance, retired Gen. Tony Thomas reminded Flynn that he knows better than to make such wild claims. "You know that leveraging the military to 'rerun elections' is a totally inappropriate role for the profession," the former commander of the United States Special Operations Command tweeted. Deflated by a loss he has yet to acknowledge, Trump has cushioned the blow by coaxing huge sums of money from his loyal supporters — often under dubious pretenses — raising roughly $250 million since Election Day along with the national party. More than $60 million of that sum has gone to a new political action committee, according to people familiar with the matter, which Trump will control after he leaves office. Those funds, which far exceed what previous outgoing presidents had at their disposal, provide him with tremendous flexibility for his post-presidential ambitions: He could use the money to quell rebel factions within the party, reward loyalists, fund his travels and rallies, hire staff, pay legal bills and even lay the groundwork for a far-from-certain 2024 run. --12-19-20 HE SAID WHAT???: news.yahoo.com/flynn-suggests-trump-deploy-military-080204111.html Flynn suggests Trump deploy the military in 'swing states' to 'rerun' the election, soft-pedals martial law
Former National Security Adviser Michal Flynn tiptoed once again toward urging President Trump to declare martial law to overturn President-elect Joe Biden's victory, citing discredited voter fraud claims. Trump "could immediately, on his order, seize every single one of these voting machines," Flynn told Newsmax host Greg Kelly Thursday night.
"He could order the, within the swing states, if he wanted to, he could take military capabilities, and he could place those in states and basically rerun an election in each of those states."Using the U.S. military to force states to redo an election is "not unprecedented," Flynn added. "These people are out there talking about martial law like it's something that we've never done. Martial law has been instituted 64 times, Greg. So, I'm not calling for that. Cole Carini of Richlands, Virginia, reportedly idolized mass shooter Elliott Rodger, an “involuntary celibate,” or “incel,” who in 2014 murdered six people in California and injured 14 others before taking his own life. Many legal scholars say incel-related violence, which has been linked to at least 53 deaths in recent years, is a form of domestic terrorism. The “incel movement” is comprised of young men who feel angry at women for rejecting them. The Carini case, however, includes a previously unreported twist: His mother testified in court this summer that her son in fact was in an ongoing physical relationship with a steady girlfriend over the past two years. At the same time, an FBI agent said he found writings by Carini that explored the possibility of killing both himself and “a female named Jamie,” which was his girlfriend’s name, according to court records. The charges against Carini stem from a bizarre incident in June, when the 23-year-old showed up at the hospital missing his left hand and several fingers on his right. He also had shrapnel wounds to the neck and throat, but claimed to have suffered his horrifying injuries in a gardening accident. Knowing that Carini had a previous conviction on his record for explosives, local cops called in the FBI to search the home Carini shared with his mother.

BRAVO TIME:--12-19-20 BRAVO: www.nbcnews.com/news/crime-courts/colorado-tries-new-way-punish-rogue-cops-n1250530 Colorado tries new way to punish rogue cops"This has to stop." Mari Newman had been saying that for years as she fought in court against police brutality. The Denver civil rights lawyer had won verdicts and settlements for people abused by officers, and won awards for her work, too. But police departments and their officers' behavior didn't change. The final straw for her was her latest job, representing the family of Elijah McClain, a 23-year-old massage therapist who was stopped by police last year while walking home after buying iced tea in Aurora, Colorado. Officers responded to a 911 call from someone claiming a Black man "looked sketchy." When McClain asked the officers to leave him in peace, they used chokeholds to pin him to the ground and had him injected with a powerful sedative. As the unarmed, handcuffed man vomited and begged for his life, police threatened to sic a dog on him. McClain was taken to a hospital and died there a few days later. "I was pissed off and frustrated," Newman said recently. So she called a longtime friend who had the power to do something: state Rep. Leslie Herod. The two women met for drinks, shot some pool — and hatched a plan for what real police reform would look like. Colorado passed the final version of these sweeping changes in June, including one drawing national attention: Now police officers who violate people's civil rights can be held personally responsible in state court. And they can't use the defense that experts say has stymied many efforts to hold police to account: "qualified immunity." It's a legal doctrine that says government workers can't be held liable for what they do on the job, except in rare circumstances. Some legal experts are praising the new law. "Colorado has passed what is, for the moment, the gold-standard reform," said Robert McNamara, a senior attorney at the Institute for Justice, a libertarian non-profit. Trump's obsession with overturning the election is out of control
(CNN)President Donald Trump's latest object of fascination, it seems, is the potential appointment of a special counsel to turn his assorted political obsessions into criminal investigations.
CNN reported that Trump has discussed the possibility of appointing lawyer Sidney Powell as special counsel to investigate voter fraud allegations -- yes, the very same allegations that have repeatedly been repudiated by courts across the country, by Trump's own loyal attorney general and by the FBI and the Department of Homeland Security (to name a few).
First things first: Appointing Powell as special counsel, or to any governmental post with any authority whatsoever, would be wildly irresponsible and outright dangerous. Powell once served as a federal prosecutor, but now she appears to be completely off the rails.
She recently has openly espoused wild, dangerous conspiracy theories, and has filed a series of ridiculous lawsuits that have been roundly rejected by courts.
Anyone considering such a move must misunderstand the law. Under the special counsel regulations, only the attorney general -- not the president -- can appoint a special counsel. There is an argument that the president, as head of the executive branch, can order the attorney general to make an appointment. But that's legally debatable at best and would lead to damaging politicization of the Justice Department.
Further, the regulations permit appointment of a special counsel only when "a criminal investigation of a matter or person is warranted" and the matter presents a conflict of interest for the Justice Department, or "other extraordinary circumstances." Trump's thoroughly debunked claims of widespread voter fraud meet none of those criteria The regulations require that a special counsel "shall be selected from outside the United States Government." This requirement would not disqualify Powell, who no longer works for the government.
But the regulations also require that special counsel must be "a lawyer with a reputation for integrity and impartial decision making." Given Powell's recent endorsements of provably false theories about election fraud, and her overt political cheerleading for Trump, she appears to fall short on these requirements.
Some White House advisers fear Trump's final days
(CNN)President Donald Trump has turned to a fringe group of advisers peddling increasingly dubious tactics to overturn the results of the election, creating a dire situation that multiple senior officials and people close to the President say has led to new levels of uncertainty at how Trump will resist the coming end to his tenure.
"No one is sure where this is heading," one official said on Monday. "He's still the President for another month."
Conspiracist lawyer Sidney Powell, disgraced former national security adviser Michael Flynn, onetime chief strategist Steve Bannon, hawkish trade adviser Peter Navarro and the eccentric founder of the retail website Overstock have all recently found themselves in the Oval Office or on the telephone advising Trump on new last-ditch efforts to reverse his loss.
That's in addition to Trump's personal attorney Rudy Giuliani, who has been feeding the President's conspiracy theories for weeks and who, along with Powell, was seen again at the White House on Monday.
In the process, Trump has mostly shunned those working inside the government, leading to growing fears of how he may lash out in the four weeks he has remaining in the White House -- or at how he may resist leaving the building come Inauguration Day.
Through it all, Trump has mostly abandoned the day-to-day running of government. At a Cabinet meeting last week, he spent much of the time complaining about his suspicions of voter fraud, according to a person familiar with the matter, leaving some attendees puzzled at the point of the gathering.
Sources close to the President described particular worry among his advisers over what Powell -- who only three weeks ago was unceremoniously dumped from his official legal team -- may convince him to do in the coming days.
Trump's idea, which he floated in a heated Friday meeting at the White House, is for Powell to essentially embed as a special counsel inside the White House Counsel's Office, a proposal the counsel's office has not looked kindly at.
...The trip to Florida is set to begin later this week, though Trump's unpredictability has led some advisers to wonder whether it will remain on the schedule. If he does go, officials say it's likely he will take meetings, in person and via phone, that his official advisers aren't aware of.
"It's scary," said another administration official, who added that Trump appears "obsessed" with far-flung scenarios to overturn the election results that are seemingly untenable, both feasibly and politically.
One of those includes an effort led by Republican Rep. Mo Brooks of Alabama to challenge President-elect Joe Biden's electoral college victory when Congress meets to formally ratify it on January 6. Trump met for a lengthy session with Brooks and a number of other conservative House lawmakers at the White House on Monday.
In his moments of deepest denial, Trump has told some advisers that he will refuse to leave the White House on Inauguration Day, only to be walked down from that ledge.
The possibility has alarmed some aides, though few believe Trump will actually follow through. How such an episode might unfold isn't clear, and federal law enforcement agencies have been loath to discuss the possibility.

A former lawyer at the Justice Department’s Office of Legal Counsel (OLC) wrote this weekend that competent lawyers who thought continuing to serve at the DOJ under Donald Trump was in the country’s best interest were in fact complicit in damaging U.S. democracy by normalizing and enabling the president’s “assault on reality.”
…Shortly after the U.S. Supreme Court upheld the constitutionality of the third and final Muslin Ban in June of 2018, Newland began to realize her efforts—which, in her view, included “matters targeting noncitizens, dismantling the Civil Service, and camouflaging the president’s corruption”—were a bridge too far and worth resigning over.
More recently, Newland said watching President Trump’s unsuccessful attacks on the legitimacy of the election results and the “second rate” lawyering of his campaign attorneys (a.k.a. the “elite strike force” team) brought her to the conclusion that damage could have been avoided if she and other career attorneys had simply walked away from the department—leaving less competent lawyers in their stead.
“The story of the Trump campaign’s attack on our elections could have been the story of the Trump administration’s four-year-long attack on our institutions. If, early on, the Justice Department lawyers charged with selling the administration’s lies had emptied the ranks — withholding our talents and reputations and demanding the same of our professional peers — the work of defending President Trump’s policies would have been left to the types of attorneys now representing his campaign,” she wrote.
“Lawyers like Mr. [Rudy] Giuliani would have had to defend the Muslim ban in court. Had that happened, judges would have likely dismantled the Trump facade from the beginning, stopping the momentum of his ugliest and most destructive efforts and bringing much-needed accountability early in his presidency.”
Newland, who now works for the government watchdog group Protect Democracy, said she and her colleagues owed the American people an apology for enabling Trump’s “assault on reality” and “assault on our democracy.”
“No matter our intentions, we were complicit. We collectively perpetuated an anti-democratic leader by conforming to his assault on reality,” she wrote. “We may have been victims of the system, but we were also its instruments.
No matter how much any one of us pushed back from within, we did so as members of a professional class of government lawyers who enabled an assault on our democracy — an assault that nearly ended it.”--12-22-20: www.msn.com/en-us/news/politics/senior-republican-says-partys-final-election-challenge-will-go-down-like-a-shot-dog/ar-BB1c8V9P?li=BBnb7Kz Senior Republican says party’s final election challenge will ‘go down like a shot dog’ Donald Trump has reportedly acknowledged in private that his attempt to overturn the election result will fail, while a senior Republican in the Senate said on Monday a challenge coming in the House of Representatives will “go down like a shot dog”. But amid reports of a president unhinged – one report said: “We cannot stress enough how unnerved Trump officials are” – and while Trump continued to stoke a Republican civil war by attacking Mitch McConnell, the Senate majority leader, a group of GOP representatives visited the White House to plan one final push to reverse the will of the American people. Congress meets to validate the electoral college result, a 306-232 win for Joe Biden, on 6 January. On Monday, Representative Mo Brooks of Alabama led a delegation of about 12 Republicans to the White House, where they discussed how their challenge to that result will proceed. “It was a back and forth concerning the planning and strategy for January the 6th,” Brooks told Politico, adding: “More and more congressmen and senators are being persuaded that the election was stolen.” There is no evidence that this is the case, and Brooks notably declined to identify any of the supposed doubters. By all the evidence, challenges to the result in the House and the Senate will not have the votes to be sustained. On Monday, No 2 Republican senator John Thune told CNN the move was “going down like a shot dog” and added: “I just don’t think it makes a lot of sense to put everybody through this when you know what the ultimate outcome is going to be.” Nonetheless, Trump continues to make baseless accusations of mass electoral fraud and reportedly to rage against aides he deems insufficiently zealous in his defence. According to the news site Axios, White House counsel Pat Cipollone and chief of staff Mark Meadows are prominent among such hapless targets. So is McConnell, whom Trump claims to have saved in his re-election fight this year, the president sending a slide to Republicans in Congress which purported to show the restorative effect of a presidential tweet and robocall. “Sadly, Mitch forgot,” the slide said. “He was the first one off the ship!” The wisdom or otherwise of attacking the Republican Senate leader two weeks before run-off elections in Georgia that will decide control of the chamber, and with it much of Biden’s chances of legislative success, seems lost on the president for now. --12-22-20: www.msn.com/en-us/tv/news/newsmax-host-sebastian-gorka-cuts-off-mypillow-ceos-debunked-voting-machine-claims-amid-legal-threat-video/ar-BB1c8V9w?li=BBnb7Kz Newsmax Host Sebastian Gorka Cuts Off MyPillow CEO's Debunked Voting Machine Claims Amid Legal Threat (Video

When the church doors open, only white people will be allowed inside.
That’s the message the Asatru Folk Assembly in Murdock, Minnesota, is sending after being granted a conditional use permit to open a church there and practice its pre-Christian religion that originated in northern Europe.
Despite a council vote officially approving the permit this month, residents are pushing back against the decision.
Opponents have collected about 50,000 signatures on an online petition to stop the all-white church from making its home in the farming town of 280 people.
“I think they thought they could fly under the radar in a small town like this, but we’d like to keep the pressure on them,” said Peter Kennedy, a longtime Murdock resident. “Racism is not welcome here."
Many locals said they support the growing population of Latinos, who have moved to the area in the past decade because of job opportunities, over the church.
“Just because the council gave them a conditional permit does not mean that the town and people in the area surrounding will not be vigilant in watching and protecting our area,” Jean Lesteberg, who lives in the neighboring town of De Graff, wrote on the city’s Facebook page.
The Southern Poverty Law Center describes Asatru Folk Assembly as a “neo-Volkisch hate group” that couches “their bigotry in baseless claims of bloodlines grounding the superiority of one’s white identity.”

Loeffler has attempted to tarnish the Democratic pastor’s reputation by repeatedly calling him a radical, a socialist and a “radical liberal.” The letter, signed by more than 100 religious leaders, presented Warnock’s support for social justice as an integral element of his faith. When Loeffler attacks that, she attacks Warnock’s religion and the faith of Black congregations who believe in the same religious values, it stated. “We see your attacks against Warnock as a broader attack against the Black Church and faith traditions for which we stand,” the letter charged. The open letter demanded that Loeffler stop her “false attacks” on Warnock’s social justice theological and faith traditions, “which visualizes a just and ardent world where love, fairness and equal justice under the law for marginalized people of all races is not only accepted as an authentic prophetic message in the tradition of Dr. Martin Luther King, but also a central message of the Gospel of Jesus Christ,” according to The Atlanta Journal-Constitution. The letter also attacked Loeffler’s support of President Donald Trump’s baseless claim of election fraud in Georgia and his attempt to overturn the presidential election results. “What can be more radical, more seditious than supporting 59 attempts to overthrow the will of the people by tossing Black votes?” the letter asked. --12-21-20 STUPID BE STUPID: us.yahoo.com/news/mega-church-pastor-positive-covid-104442739.html Mega-church pastor positive with Covid after White House Christmas party.

“Every morning as I wake up, I thank GOD that I was NOT born Black in America—this sounds tragic & it is; however it is very TRUE--for even as we enter 2021 Racism in America is Sadly STILL exist AND surging as are related HATE Events/Crimes. Do MeDO ME’S THOUGHTS:
‘’I thought I had seen it all with the Idiot Donald’s Pardons (just awful)—his threat to veto the Stimulus Relief Package and his Veto of the NDAA, etc. etc. etc. But I was wrong, for here are some very troubling articles of which some are Vile-Disgusting & just plain EVIL (VDE). Apparently, I was very WRONG in assuming that Americans cared about other human’s lives—I think for some time that has not been the case … (see below): --12-23-20: Vile-Disgusting & EVIL (VDE): us.yahoo.com/lifestyle/flying-positive-covid-014956771.html Travelers with COVID-19 are selfishly endangering others. Experts call the problematic behavior 'truly reckless.'
Several people have made headlines recently for traveling despite knowing they had either tested positive for COVID-19 or had symptoms of the disease.
Wesley Moribe and Courtney Peterson were arrested and charged with reckless endangerment after flying home to Hawaii with their child on Nov. 29, despite being told to isolate after the couple tested positive for COVID-19.
More recently, a 69-year-old man, who reportedly had been experiencing COVID-19 symptoms, traveled with his wife on a Dec. 14 United Airlines flight from Orlando, Fla. to Los Angeles, Calif.
He suffered a medical emergency on the flight and later died, with the coroner stating the cause of death was COVID-19 and acute respiratory failure, according to the Washington Post.
The publication reported that the man’s wife was “heard telling medical workers on the plane that he had been experiencing symptoms, including trouble breathing and loss of taste and smell,” but he did not disclose any COVID-related symptoms on a pre-flight checklist.
…“But more than that, what we are seeing is in our country, unfortunately, people tend to push back against authority,” Shah says.
During the pandemic, that can mean people refusing to wear masks or gathering with groups of people outside of their household.
“They tend to use the wording of ‘rights’ or ‘civil rights,”’ Shah says.
“While all that is true — that is your right,” he says that people don’t have “the right to hurt somebody else.”
Shah continues: “If you’re the only one who will be affected, maybe that’s OK. But people tend to forget by not wearing a mask and traveling while positive, you’re hurting others,” which is “infringing on someone else’s rights.” Shah adds:
“The sad part is people are not realizing they are risking others.”
Gonsenhauser notes that in the U.S., independence is a value Americans “cherish.” But he says that we can still be a nation that makes a collective effort to stay safe during the pandemic without losing our independence. I
n the past, “when we’ve been engaged in large-scale national conflicts, there is that coming together,” Gonsenhauser says, “and instead of that happening, this was used as an opportunity to drive us apart and make enemies of each other and that’s so unfortunate.
It’s interesting that so many people who stand on a platform of patriotism are choosing to not bear the responsibility that their nation is asking of them.”--12-23-20 AWFUL & VDE: www.msn.com/en-us/health/medical/a-person-who-went-to-work-while-sick-is-likely-the-cause-of-two-separate-covid-19-outbreaks-in-oregon/ar-BB1cboNB?li=BBnb7Kz A person who went to work while sick is likely the cause of two separate Covid-19 outbreaks in Oregon
Officials in Oregon say a "superspreader action" is likely behind two recent Covid-19 outbreaks in the state. The action in question: A person knowingly went to work while sick and later tested positive for the virus, Douglas County officials said last week. Two separate Covid-19 outbreaks have now been traced back to that person, officials said. Seven people died as a result of the first outbreak, and hundreds of people were forced to self-isolate over the second one."One of those outbreaks has resulted in seven deaths, and the other recent outbreak has placed over 300 people/families in quarantine," a December 17 statement from the Douglas County government reads. "We can't even imagine the tremendous remorse these people are feeling right now, and we sympathize with them." County officials referred to the incident as a "superspreader action," calling it "one of the most concerning issues we are facing right now." It's a twist on the term "superspreader event," which refers to large in-person gatherings such as weddings, parties or religious services where the presence of one infected person has the potential to spur a viral outbreak. --12-23-20 THEY JUST DO NOT GIVE A SHIT ABOUT OTHERS’ LIVES (VDE): us.cnn.com/2020/12/23/entertainment/kirk-cameron-protests/index.html Kirk Cameron organizes caroling protests amid California's Covid-19 surge
(CNN)Actor Kirk Cameron is facing criticism for organizing at least two events in Southern California in recent weeks, where dozens of mask-less people stood shoulder-to-shoulder to sing Christmas carols in protest of state and local stay-at-home mandates.
"I'm getting ready to go out in 38 minutes, it's T-38 minutes for our Christmas caroling peaceful protest," Cameron said in an Instagram post in advance of an event held in the parking lot of The Oaks mall in Thousand Oaks, California.

An unnamed man was filmed hurling a shopping cart at an essential grocery store worker. We can only hope it doesn't get any worse. Thankfully, the man opposite the anti-masker was able to keep the semi-full shopping cart from hitting him hard by pushing the cart away with his arms. You can watch it all below. Bystanders were vocally appalled by the man's behavior and called out warnings at him as he fled the store without his groceries. "I'm gonna put this guy on the internet" the man filming is heard saying. A woman echoes the point: "Bye! Wear a mask next time!" Reddit commenters appeared to think the man left the store quickly once he realized he was being filmed. They called him out for attempting to flee the scene. "I love how he thinks walking away quickly will save face," the top comment read. The original poster responded. "It's like you can see him realize there will be consequences after he sees the camera haha." Another top-liked comment questioned why the man was in the store in the first place. "Why don't anti-maskers do grocery pickup?" a Reddit user wrote. "Costs me $3 and it's brought right out to my car. Not that I'm an anti-masker myself just trying to avoid crowds. It's not perfect, they've made a few mistakes and things aren't as cheap as they used to be but I'll be damned if I'm going into a busy grocery store during lockdown." Unfortunately, this is far from the only anti-masker public freakout to happen in American grocery stores in 2020. Last week, a group of anti-maskers invaded a Walmart store in Arizona and got their own viral moment, too. A video posted to Twitter showed a group of around 20 people walking into a Walmart without face coverings and chanting something about why they wouldn't wear them. Some even brought signs that read "Masks=666" and "Saving Face." One anti-masker rally in Utah went viral for a totally different reason, though. Some were apparently convinced the ghost of Abraham Lincoln appeared, and the similarities are hilarious. --12-23-20 IT NEVER ENDS—VDE: www.msn.com/en-us/news/us/columbus-police-kill-black-man-weeks-after-protests-against-brutality/ar-BB1c9I67?li=BBnb7Kz Columbus Police Kill Black Man Weeks After Protests Against BrutalityA police officer fatally shot a Black man early Tuesday in Columbus, Ohio, three weeks after a county sheriff’s deputy killed a Black man in the state capital, which ignited a round of protests against police brutality. “Our community is exhausted,” Mayor Andrew J. Ginther said during a news conference. Mr. Ginther said the fact that the officer did not activate his body camera until after Tuesday’s shooting “disturbs me greatly,” particularly with the city still reeling from the Dec. 4 death of Casey Goodson Jr., which was not captured on video. On Wednesday, the Columbus Department of Public Safety identified the victim as Andre Maurice Hill, 47. The officer, Adam Coy, a 19-year veteran of the Police Division, was relieved of duty and forced to turn in his badge and gun. Though Mr. Coy did not have his body camera turned on during the shooting, a violation of department policy, the police’s body cameras are equipped with a feature that starts recording 60 seconds before they are turned on. When the officer did turn on his camera, the playback feature captured the shooting. The footage, which the mayor said he expected would be released on Wednesday, did not capture audio, so any verbal exchange before the gunfire was not recorded. “This is a tragedy on many levels,” Chief Thomas Quinlan of the Columbus Division of Police said in a statement. “We promise that we will provide as much transparency as possible on our part, both with investigators and the public.” According to a description of events from the police, officers responded at 1:37 a.m. to a call that a man in an S.U.V. was turning the vehicle on and off for “an extended period of time.” When officers arrived, they found a door to a garage open and a man inside. In the body camera footage, the police said, it appears that Mr. Hill walked toward the officers with a cellphone in his left hand. An officer then opened fire. No weapon was recovered at the scene. The police said it appeared that there was a delay in rendering first aid to Mr. Hill, who died at a hospital shortly after. The Ohio Bureau of Criminal Investigation is leading the inquiry in the case. --12-23-20 IT NEVER ENDS—VDE: us.yahoo.com/news/police-kept-black-man-naked-183831109.html Police kept Black man naked in yard while looking for teens
COLUMBIA, S.C. (AP) — A 71-year-old Black man in South Carolina was embarrassed and feared for his life when a police officer looking for teens who might have been breaking into cars held him outside naked and at gunpoint after he peeked out his door to check on the disturbance, the man said in a lawsuit. Body camera video of the June 2019 encounter in Rock Hill shows Officer Vincent Mentesana cursing at Jethro DeVane and telling him not to close the door. Mentesana orders DeVane to stand outside his home naked at 4 a.m., facing the wall, according to the video, which DeVane and his lawyer obtained through a public records request and released Tuesday. When DeVane asks what's going on, Mentesana responds, "I don’t want to talk to you." The officer held the gun to DeVane's head for 90 seconds as other officers looked through his home, according to the lawsuit. “I did what the man said. He had the weapon. He could have took my life in a minute,” DeVane said at a news conference Tuesday with his lawyer. Once Mentesana got the all-clear, he asked DeVane his name and told him why police were in the neighborhood. Police did not have a search warrant for DeVane's house, according to the lawsuit filed Monday, which claims gross negligence, emotional distress and false imprisonment. The suit does not ask for a specific dollar amount. At the news conference, DeVane said he was embarrassed because there was at least one woman among the officers. He also said he feared for his life; that if he tried to close the door, grab some clothes or argued, the officer with the gun to his head would fire. “I won’t get over it the rest of my life,” DeVane said. --12-23-20 VDE: www.msn.com/en-us/news/other/a-black-doctor-died-from-covid-19-after-she-posted-a-video-from-her-hospital-bed-saying-she-was-being-mistreated-this-is-how-black-people-get-killed/ar-BB1cbpu5?li=BBnb7Kz A Black doctor died from COVID-19 after she posted a video from her hospital bed saying she was being mistreated: 'This is how Black people get killed.'The 54-year-old in Indianapolis had been diagnosed with COVID-19, hospitalized, and given two rounds of Remdesivir, a drug shown to speed up recovery in hospitalized coronavirus patients. But according to a video Moore posted to Facebook December 4, almost a week after her diagnosis, she wasn't getting better. She had difficulty breathing. "I was in so much pain from my neck, my neck hurt so bad. I was crushed," she said in the video. "[The doctor] made me feel like I was a drug addict and he knew I was a physician." And yet Moore said she was being neglected and mistreated, which she suspected was because of her race. Her doctor, she said, would not give her another round of Remdesivir or narcotics, telling her she didn't qualify for the former and that he didn't feel comfortable giving her the latter. He told her she "should just go home right now," Moore said in her video. "This is how Black people get killed," Moore said in the video. "When you send them home and they don't know how to fight for themselves." That's just a fraction of what Moore shared of her ultimately fatal experience as a Black patient with COVID-19, a disease that disproportionately infects, and kills, people of color. Moore's story - that of a physician who knew what her scans and symptoms meant, of a single mom who spoke up for herself, and of Black person who recorded feeling dismissed - is sparking heartbreak and anger on social media, where fellow physicians and advocates say a racist healthcare system shoulders the blame.--12-23-20: www.msn.com/en-us/foodanddrink/foodnews/multiple-employees-are-filing-racial-and-gender-discrimination-charges-against-olive-garden/ar-BB1cbrRZ?li=BBnbfcL Multiple Employees Are Filing Racial And Gender Discrimination Charges Against Olive Garden Several Olive Garden employees have come forward to file charges of race- and gender-based discrimination against Darden Restaurants, Inc, PEOPLE reports. The employees, who self-identified as Black or African-American in official documents, described their experiences working at the Times Square Olive Garden location in New York City. The charges were filed at the New York’s Equal Employment Opportunity Commission Office, and five employees shared their experiences, according to information obtained by Delish. That discrimination affected aspects of their job like receiving proper tips, getting breaks throughout the day, and being assigned more favorable tables, they allege. Darden has a policy of paying tipped workers a sub-minimum wage, and the employees who came forward said the alleged favoritism showed toward non-Black and non-LGBTQ+ workers led to differences in their financial compensations from the job. The charges also claim there were disparities in treatment of employees when the restaurant reopened in September 2020 after closing down due to COVID-19 restrictions. Rep. James Clyburn, D-S.C., said his coronavirus subcommittee investigators have found evidence of a “political pressure campaign” to “bully” professionals at the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention in what may have been an attempt to “cripple the nation’s coronavirus response in a misguided effort to achieve herd immunity.” Herd immunity is shorthand for a theory — rejected by most public health experts — that society can be best protected by allowing younger people to get infected and develop natural immunity until vaccines are widely available. Accusing Health and Human Services Secretary Alex Azar and CDC Director Dr. Robert Redfield of stonewalling his investigation, Clyburn issued subpoenas to compel them to turn over reams of documents and emails by Dec. 30.

QUOTES OF DAY:
“… that the president “has cloaked America in darkness for much too long. Too much anger. Too much fear. Too much division. …With passion and purpose, let us begin—you and I together, one nation, under God—united in our love for America and united in our love for each other. For love is more powerful than hate. Hope is more powerful than fear. Light is more powerful than dark. This is our moment. This is our mission.
May history be able to say that the end of this chapter of American darkness began here tonight as love and hope and light joined in the battle for the soul of the nation. And this is a battle that we, together, will win. I promise you.” Joe Biden

WASHINGTON – President Donald Trump’s decision on Tuesday to pardon four former Blackwater security guards – convicted in a 2007 massacre in Baghdad that left more than a dozen Iraqi civilians dead – has unleashed a torrent of criticism and anger from lawmakers, former prosecutors and ex-military officials. Some warned that Trump’s decision would carry severe consequences – jeopardizing the safety of American military personnel, inflaming U.S.-Iraqi tensions and tarnishing the U.S. justice system in the eyes of the world.“Trump's move is corrosive to the U.S. military,” said Michael Rubin, a former Pentagon official who worked on Iraq policy in the George W. Bush administration. “It's one thing when justice is served under the law. It's another when the president in effect blesses state-sanctioned murder,” said Rubin, now a senior fellow at the American Enterprise Institute, a Washington think tank. Ronald Machen. the former U.S. attorney whose office oversaw the Blackwater prosecution, said he was "deeply disappointed" by the president's action. "I was dismayed that all of that work to achieve justice was thrown away with the stroke of a pen," said Machen. "The prosecution meant a lot to the U.S.-Iraqi relationship. This was a massacre." --12-24-20 VDE: www.msn.com/en-us/news/politics/gop-blocks-democrats-bid-for-dollar2000-payments-trump-demanded/ar-BB1ccZ4j?li=BBnb7Kz GOP Blocks Democrats’ Bid for $2,000 Payments Trump Demanded.--12-24-20: us.yahoo.com/news/government-report-warns-of-potential-violence-and-foreign-interference-during-georgia-senate-runoffs-191001382.html Government report warns of potential violence and foreign interference during Georgia Senate runoffs
With the Georgia Senate runoff races just two weeks away, the Department of Homeland Security is warning of the possibility of “ideologically motivated violence” and even a foreign influence campaign as voters prepare to go to the polls, according to a new internal report obtained by Yahoo News.
The Dec. 22 report, marked for official use only, says Georgia faces a “potentially heightened physical threat environment” that could drive violence or threats of violence similar to those seen nationwide during the 2020 presidential and state election season. Incidents of violence in or near the state capitol in Atlanta, courts and other “symbolic political institutions” could also negatively affect elected officials or election workers in Georgia, the report says.
“We further judge that violent extremists or other actors could quickly mobilize to violence or generate violent disruptions of otherwise lawful protests in response to a range of issues,” the report says, including possible disputes over the results of the Nov. 3 presidential election.

With the fate of a federal aid package suddenly thrown into doubt by President Trump, economic data on Wednesday showed why the help is so desperately needed.
Personal income fell in November for the second straight month, the Commerce Department said Wednesday, and consumer spending declined for the first time since April, as waning government aid and a worsening pandemic continued to take a toll on the U.S. economy.
Separate data from the Labor Department showed that applications for unemployment benefits remained high last week and have risen since early November.
Taken together, the reports are the latest evidence that the once-promising economic recovery is sputtering.
“We know that things are going to get worse,” said Daniel Zhao, senior economist with the career site Glassdoor. “The question is how much worse.”
The answer depends heavily on two factors: the path of the pandemic, and the willingness of the federal government to provide help.
Congress, after months of delays, acted on Monday, passing a $900 billion economic relief package that would provide aid to the unemployed, small businesses and most households. Most urgently, it would prevent millions from losing jobless benefits at the end of this week.--12-23-20 VDE: www.msn.com/en-us/news/politics/trump-gives-clemency-to-more-allies-including-manafort-stone-and-charles-kushner/ar-BB1cbSEi?li=BBnb7Kz Trump Gives Clemency to More Allies, Including Manafort, Stone and Charles KushnerPresident Trump doled out clemency to a new group of loyalists on Wednesday, wiping away convictions and sentences as he aggressively employed his power to override courts, juries and prosecutors to apply his own standard of justice for his allies. One recipient of a pardon was a family member, Charles Kushner, the father of his son-in-law, Jared Kushner. Two others who were pardoned declined to cooperate with prosecutors in connection with the special counsel’s Russia investigation: Paul Manafort, his 2016 campaign chairman, and Roger J. Stone Jr., his longtime informal adviser and friend. They were the most prominent names in a batch of 26 pardons and three commutations disclosed by the White House after Mr. Trump left for his private club in Palm Beach, Fla., for the holiday. Also on the list released on Wednesday was Margaret Hunter, the estranged wife of former Representative Duncan D. Hunter, Republican of California. Both of them had pleaded guilty to charges of misusing campaign funds for personal expenses. Mr. Hunter was pardoned by Mr. Trump on Tuesday, as part of a first pre-Christmas wave of grants of clemency to 20 convicts, more than half of whom did not meet the Justice Department guidelines for consideration of pardons or commutations. They included a former Blackwater guard sentenced to life in prison for his role in the killing of 17 Iraqi civilians in 2007. Of the 65 pardons and commutations that Mr. Trump had granted before Wednesday, 60 have gone to petitioners who had a personal tie to Mr. Trump or who helped his political aims, according to a tabulation by the Harvard Law School professor Jack Goldsmith. Although similar figures do not exist for previous presidents, legal experts say that those presidents granted a far lower percentage to those who could help them personally and politically. BRAVO TIME:*** MUST READ--12-23-20 BRAVO--HOPES HE RIPS ALL OF THEM NEW ASSHOLES: edition.cnn.com/2020/12/23/politics/dominion-voting-executive-defamation-lawsuit/index.html Voting machine company executive sues Trump allies for defamation Washington (CNN) An executive for a voting machine company that has been the target of conspiracy theories in the aftermath of Donald Trump's 2020 election loss and been baselessly accused of swinging the results against the President is suing his campaign and conservative media figures for defamation. Trump has called Dominion Voting Systems "a disaster," and his supporters have pushed the conspiracy theory that the company deleted votes for Trump on its voting equipment and that Dominion's director of product strategy and security, Eric Coomer, helped subvert the election. There is no evidence that the 2020 election was stolen from Trump, and his administration and election officials have called it the "most secure" election in US history. President-elect Joe Biden won the popular vote by more than 7 million votes and the electoral map 306 to 232. The lawsuit names as defendants the Trump campaign, Rudy Giuliani, Trump adviser Sidney Powell, conservative media outlets One America News Network and Newsmax Media, the right-wing website Gateway Pundit, and Colorado businessman and activist Joseph Oltmann, among others. CNN has reached out to those named in the lawsuit. In recent days -- as the threat of legal action loomed larger -- several conservative media outlets have begun backtracking some of the more outrageous claims. In a lawsuit filed Tuesday in Colorado district court, Coomer's lawyers say the allegations are "false and baseless" and have caused "immense injury to Dr. Coomer's reputation, professional standing, safety, and privacy." The lawsuit says the defendants "relied heavily upon false allegations" made by Oltmann, who claimed in interviews and social media posts that Coomer was a participant in an Antifa conference call that Oltmann said he infiltrated in September. Asked about the alleged Antifa call, Oltmann told CNN he has "troves of evidence" -- which he did not immediately provide -- and said, "truth is the great equalizer in all of this." Oltmann claimed he heard one of the speakers on the purported call identified as "Eric from Dominion" who told participants, "Trump is not gonna win. I made f-ing sure of that." Oltmann, who said he was paraphrasing the conversation, has not provided a recording of the alleged call nor an explanation of how he learned about it and gained access, according to the lawsuit. Coomer's attorneys have denied that the Dominion executive had knowledge of the purported call, participated in it or made such comments. The suit also lists a multitude of specific threats allegedly made against Coomer and says the harassment forced Coomer to flee his home "in fear for his safety." Coomer has been living in hiding since shortly after the election, he recently told Colorado Public Radio. He is seeking damages as well as the public retraction of all statements judged to be defamatory. In a statement Tuesday, Coomer said the lawsuit is "an effort to unwind as much of the damage as possible done to me, my family, my life, and my livelihood as a result of the numerous false public statements that I was somehow responsible for 'rigging' the 2020 presidential election." --12-23-20 BRAVO: www.huffpost.com/entry/rebekah-jones-florida-lawsuit-raid_n_5fe229afc5b6e1ce83365d63?ri18n=true&ncid=newsltushpmgnews Florida Data Scientist Rebekah Jones Files Suit Over ‘Sham’ Raid. The COVID-19 whistleblower claims Florida seized her phone and other devices to “discover her confidential sources.”Rebekah Jones, the Florida data scientist whose Tallahassee home was raided by gun-wielding cops earlier this month, has filed suit against the Florida Department of Law Enforcement over the “sham” raid, alleging it was carried out in retaliation for her work as a COVID-19 whistleblower. The suit, filed Sunday, accuses FDLE of violating Jones’ First Amendment right to freedom of speech, and unlawful search and seizure. Jones is also accusing one of the responding officers of battery for his nonconsensual and unnecessarily hands-on contact during the raid. Officers raided Jones’ house on Dec. 7 and seized her cell phone, computers and other tech hardware she uses to maintain an independent public-facing database tracking COVID-19 infections in Florida. She’s kept the dashboard live since May, when she was fired from her job as a state data scientist after she said she refused a request from her superiors to manipulate numbers in the state’s official database. The information they asked her to post would have overcounted the number of coronavirus tests performed and undercounted the total number of cases as Florida rushed to reopen its economy, Jones has said. She’s also said that she was asked to remove evidence of people testing positive for the virus in January. --12-23-20 B RAVO TO THEM—I KNOW MANY HERE: www.msn.com/en-us/money/companies/grocery-workers-were-called-heroes-for-months-during-the-pandemic-with-few-actual-protections-now-theyre-finally-seeing-small-but-important-gains/ar-BB1cbs1f?li=BBnbfcL Grocery workers were called heroes for months during the pandemic, with few actual protections. Now they're finally seeing small but important gains.
Early on in the coronavirus pandemic, it looked like retail workers might ascend to the role of societal "heroes," taking on a designation usually reserved for military personnel, firefighters, and medical professionals in the United States.
Employees working on the frontlines of stores faced disease and death in order to keep the "open for business" signs blazing for consumers desperate to access essential goods. And it seemed like the public and private sector alike were beginning to appreciate that.
Major companies like Walmart and Amazon released advertisements touting their workers' resoluteness and bravery in the face of COVID-19. Those same national retailers also began to dole out bonuses during the pandemic. Retail workers even got their own action figures. As part of its "everyday hero" line of dolls, Mattel released a toy grocery store employee.--12-23-20 BRAVO: www.huffpost.com/entry/democrats-trump-stimulus-checks_n_5fe34af7c5b6e1ce833796a3?yqq&ncid=newsltushpmgpolitics Democrats Support Trump Demand For $2,000 Payments Some Were Pushing For All Along. “Let’s do it,” House Speaker Nancy Pelosi said of the president’s proposed change to the latest COVID-19 relief bill.

In interviews Wednesday and Thursday, top advisers to both Democratic and Republican governors said that anger at the lack of a coordinated federal response to combat the pandemic had reached a boiling point during negotiations over a relief package. "Honestly I've never been so disgusted with Congress," said a chief of staff to one Democratic governor. "We've been pulling our hair out for months. The federal government has not made a single step of the process of dealing with this pandemic easier. Not one single step." The chief of staff, like others interviewed for this story, asked for anonymity to avoid angering both the Trump administration and Senate Republicans, who have said they will not consider new aid to state and local governments in future relief packages. --12-25-20 WOW WHO WOULD HAVE GUESSED???: www.msn.com/en-us/news/politics/washington-post-identifies-powells-secret-witness-as-pro-trump-podcaster/ar-BB1ceuPw?li=BBnb7Kz Washington Post identifies Powell's secret witness as pro-Trump podcaster The Washington Post has identified a secret witness in flings protesting the presidential election -who was presented by pro-Trump attorney Sidney Powell as a former intelligence contractor - as a pro-Trump podcaster. The Post identified the witness as pro-Trump podcaster Terpsichore Maras-Lindeman. In the affidavit, the witness identifies herself as a former "private contractor with experience gathering and analyzing foreign intelligence." She claimed that from 1999 to 2014 she delegated tasks to contractors in the U.S. and in foreign countries. The Post said it identified the witness as Maras-Lindeman by matching parts of her affidavit with a 2019 blog post. Powell in legal filings had claimed that the witness's identity had to be kept secret to protect her "reputation, professional career and personal safety." Maras-Lindeman confirmed to the outlet that she authored the affidavit, telling the Post that "this is everybody's duty" and that the results of the election are "just not fair." Federal judged have rejected the complaints that Powell has filed in Wisconsin and Arizona targeting the election results that include Maras-Lindeman's affidavit. Maras-Lindeman told The Post that she has never spoken to Powell and that she distributed the affidavit to several individuals. She was not immediately made aware that the claims had reached Powell. The Trump campaign in recent weeks has sought to distance itself from Powell, with Trump's lead attorney Rudy Giuliani and senior legal adviser Jenna Ellis releasing a statement last month saying that she "is not a member of the Trump Legal Team." A day before unemployment benefits for millions of Americans were set to expire, President Donald Trump had a different insult in mind: his former-model wife has yet to appear on the cover of a fashion magazine as first lady.
"Fake news!" he complained on Twitter from Palm Beach, concerned for Melania's social station on Christmas as Americans hunkered at home, enduring a holiday diminished by pandemic, darkened by the prospect of an imminent government shutdown and shaken by an eerie explosion in Nashville that authorities said was intentional.
A day later, as those jobless benefits for gig workers and self-employed Americans were lapsing, Trump was issuing a string of angry messages about his own perceived injustices: the election he falsely claims was stolen from him and the growing roster of people he's upset won't help him reverse it.
…Trump, however, had another date in mind -- and the functioning of other government resources -- on Saturday as he woke up on Boxing Day in a fury over the election results. His anger extended to all three branches of government: he lashed out at the Supreme Court, which has refused to hear his case; Senate Majority Leader Mitch McConnell, who has acknowledged President-elect Joe Biden's win; and his own law enforcement agencies, who have provided little backing to his lies.
"The 'Justice' Department and the FBI have done nothing about the 2020 Presidential Election Voter Fraud, the biggest SCAM in our nation's history, despite overwhelming evidence. They should be ashamed. History will remember. Never give up. See everyone in D.C. on January 6th," he wrote.--12-26-20: www.msn.com/en-us/news/us/relief-bill-heres-what-happens-if-trump-doesnt-sign-the-dollar900-billion-covid-package/ar-BB1cd5Ml?li=BBnb7Kz Relief bill: Here's what happens if Trump doesn't sign the $900 billion Covid packageThough Congress has passed a $900 billion Covid relief package, millions of Americans are in danger of losing important benefits just after the holidays if President Donald Trump continues to refuse to sign the bill. --12-26-20: www.msn.com/en-us/news/politics/with-less-than-a-month-left-in-office-trump-lashes-out-at-totally-incompetent-supreme-court-for-refusing-to-overturn-his-election-loss/ar-BB1cfq8J?li=BBnb7Kz With less than a month left in office, Trump lashes out at 'totally incompetent' Supreme Court for refusing to overturn his election loss.--12-26-20: www.msn.com/en-us/news/politics/mike-pence-cannot-block-the-certification-of-joe-bidens-victory-when-the-senate-formally-counts-electoral-college-votes-on-jan-6th/ar-BB1cfgXE?li=BBnb7Kz Mike Pence Cannot Block the Certification of Joe Biden’s Victory When the Senate Formally Counts Electoral College Jan 6th.The Electoral College formally selected Biden as the next U.S. President on December 14 when each state’s electors publicly cast their official votes. There is no mechanism for reversing these votes, and on Jan. 6, the House and Senate will meet to count those votes. Under the 12th Amendment, Pence is constitutionally mandated to preside over the joint session of Congress which will accomplish the task. Trump on Wednesday retweeted a theory from one of his supporters calling for Pence to reject the certificates of votes from Arizona, Georgia, Michigan, Nevada, Pennsylvania, and Wisconsin, falsely claiming those states did not “receive a constitutionally permissible slate of electors.” Unfortunately for Trump, legal experts say Pence has absolutely no authority, constitutional or otherwise, to prevent ratification of the electoral college votes. The Constitution states that Pence “shall, in the presence of the Senate and House of Representatives, open all the certificates and the votes shall then be counted.” The “shall” in the provision is an imperative command, unambiguously requiring the act be completed, making Pence’s role merely ceremonial. “The 12th Amendment merely designates the President of the Senate (the VP) to ‘open all the certificates.’ But then uses the passive voice: ‘the votes shall then be counted.’ Implicitly, Congress does the counting,” Fordham law professor and legal historian Jed Shugerman clarified on Twitter. January 6 is when Congress will meet to officially ratify the Election College that Biden won; Trump hopes an insurgent effort by Conservative House members and perhaps his vice president will overturn the inevitable. The effort is all but certain to fail, but it has captured Trump's interest nonetheless. Republican Congressman Adam Kinzinger responded to the tweets from Trump on Saturday morning, calling them a "temper tantrum and crazy conspiracies" and said the President is "trying to burn the place down on the way out because you can't handle losing." --12-25-20: www.msn.com/en-us/news/politics/trump-wields-pardon-power-as-political-weapon-rewarding-loyalists-and-undermining-prosecutors/ar-BB1cdqAG?li=BBnbfcL Trump wields pardon power as political weapon, rewarding loyalists and undermining prosecutors.
