Usually a man who isn’t speaking is either in a position where he has something to hide, and advised not to speak by his attorney… or he’s Steve Carlton. He’s making $70M PED year because he chose to come to America. I hope they get the dirt on him and void his contract, ban him from American baseball. The sport will survive without him, and will enhance its reputation by having the courage to stand up to him. So glad he chose LA…

Some of which may already be bailing on him or watching closely to decide if they should…

Don't understand your "problem" with him... Problem? Only if he’s guilty. But he makes himself look guilty by cutting off the press. At worst say “I can only talk about baseball with you guys at this time at the advice of my attorneys”. Then discuss baseball…

Then discuss baseball… "I hope they get the dirt on him and void his contract, ban him from American baseball." If he’s guilty. That statement, to put in context was in reply to his desire to not speak to the press, and should have been qualified with “if he did it” Did what? Any of the steps that violate the rules of MLB and/or US law. This case smells quite a bit like gambling by proxy to me… but we’ll see…

Then discuss baseball… I think the FEDs already completed their investigation and the only thing Ohtani was guilty of was trusting the wrong guy with his money. The word is that he knew of the gambling involved and did not report it…if that is proven wrong, then life will continue as we know it. But if that’s so, then don’t be a rich jerk.Speak to the press, even if you make that one subject off limits so you can focus on baseball… That aspect is pudding me off. That’s the “thing” I hold against him… your contract says you will. I that little detail is too much, go back to Japan and call the whole dance off…
