I know the Yankees have great prospects in the OF BUT Soto is a generational talent. Can't let that go.

Pat, it should be an interesting off season for the Yankees. I can't speak for them, but if they are looking to re-sign Soto, they might look to save money elsewhere. The fact that 3 of the top 5 prospects in the system are outfielders is also going to factor in to the decisions at the end of the year. All I am hoping for is a World Series win that makes the controversy a lot more heated !!! Some one may need to learn to play 1B if he wants to remain a Yankee… Wish one of them could play second base…

It might even be Judge even though he is a good OFer. The Yankees have a lot of money invested in him. Playing1B would be a lot less stressful than CF. Jones could be another option to play 1B. Anyway, I really hope that the Yankees make re-signing Soto their #1 priority.

I’ll add SS to the list. Volpe handles it well, but Arias has a cannon. Volpe may have to move for him…to second, yes let Gleyber find a new home…

The Yankees could give Jones some time at 1B and see if he could become a Clay Bellinger type, that's good defensively in the OF and 1B. Good problem to have really.

I'd say he's several years away from the major leagues.

The development of young short stops can be very ugly in the low minors… see Jeter, NYYankees… he got past the .202 average, the 50 error seasons…

I like him, but if the Yankees re-sign Soto, it's my opinion that they might look to save money at 2B.

I dont see Judge making a good defensive 1st baseman. I think he is just to big to be sprawling for linedrives and hard hit grounders. I feel like that would be worse on his upper body than running the outfield would be for his legs

When the pop fly dropped in front of Judge in the 9th I think we were all holding our breaths.

When the pop fly dropped in front of Judge in the 9th I think we were all holding our breaths. Thats true ... I just feel like at first base there is more diving, stretching and reaching. 1B is involved in more plays so more opportunities for injury And DHs become soft and less athletic ...so it's a no win
