I know the Pirates are a bad team, but this is absurd. Skenes debut was ruined by some of the worst relief pitching you will ever see in one inning. Pirates relievers somehow managed to wak six Cubs hitters with the bases loaded in one inning, although it took 2 1/2 hours since there was a long rain delay during the inning.That was the most remarkable inning I have ever seen in person.
5:24 PM: Paul Skenes pulled in the 5th after allowing two hits. 6-1 PIT.
5:26: Kyle Nicolas comes in and gets two quick outs.
5:28: HBP loads the bases.
5:29: 4 pitch BB. 6-2 PIT
5:31: 4 pitch BB. 6-3 PIT
5:33: 4 pitch BB. 6-4 PIT
PITCHING CHANGE
5:37: 5 pitch BB: 6-5 PIT
5:40: Infield single. 6-6 CHC
5:41: Game delayed by rain
PITCHING CHANGE
8:01: Game resumes
8:03: 4 pitch BB. 7-6 CHC
8:04: 5 pitch BB. 8-6 CHC
8:05: Inning ends

The ugly and bleak side of a phenom making his debut. Another guy losing his job.
Contreras will probably find a home with another team. Maybe even with the Yankees if Cashman thinks that Blake can help him become a better pitcher. |

I don't even know what Roku is but if a Yankee game is on this, you can still watch with MLB TV.
