Looks like he signed a minor league deal with Toronto. I thought he was going to have a solid major league career but just too many injuries. Yep. Here's another guy who looked to have a bright future, until... Dustin Fowler...

Yeah, that was so sad when Fowler made his MLB debut against the White Sox in Chicago and suffered a major knee injury running into the fence. He didn't even get an at bat. I also remember my son and I being at the game the night before and seeing Miguel Andujar and Tyler Wade make their big league debuts. Miggy had a big game.

Cool that you were able to see both Miggy & Wade. I hope Fowler got some sort of financial compensation from ChiSox.

Even more unfortunately, he ran into an electrical junction box. Never was the same.

I know he had a suit pending against them and the state...don't know if that wasn't ever settled. I'm not a litigious person, but IMO he should be compensated to some extent. Who knows where his career might've gone and how much money he might've made.

Shit happens. There was no intent… he drew an unlucky straw…now go sell insurance or cars…

Given that the law is rarely enforced against corporations, law suits are the only way to make them behave. I strongly support them as the only control that exists on business behavior.

If your Hummer was (unintentionally, of course) built with a faulty braking system which caused you to drive over the edge of Wolf Creek Pass, did you and your family just draw an "unlucky straw"?

His response..."I don't care, I'm dead".

That all I'll say, as I might rub up against the political guardrail here. No one here really cares much about politics other than me. And I have lost interest for the most part. I predicted the US democratic system was collapsing twenty years ago (I was then a public administration researcher) and it looks good for my prediction. Sports have become what they were in ancient Rome. A way of ignoring collapse in the political system.
