Yamamoto pulled from the Dodger game after pitching just 2 innings (tricep tightness).

No Media pressure in Oakland, he can relax and play ball. Hopefully his injury streak is finally behind him.

Two kids at the '16 AZ "Fall Stars" game... That had to be cool going to AFL games. Do you still go to the games?

Two kids at the '16 AZ "Fall Stars" game... That had to be cool going to AFL games. Do you still go to the games? Yep...it's the best. Better than Spring Training. Weather is perfect after the heat of the summer. $7...sit anywhere you want. Was even better before they put all the netting up...could get some good pics and actually talk to the players. It's my only opportunity to see Yankee prospects, and I've seen a lot of good ones, including Judge...up close and personal. There are often relatives of the players in the stands...Moms & Dads...who've come to watch their sons. One year there were a couple of guys making negative comments about Tyler Wade, not knowing his Mom was sitting a few seats away. She tore into them like a mother hen, and they made a quick retreat...funny stuff. I talked with her for quite awhile and got a little more background re Wade, who I'd followed at the suggestion of my brother who lived near Wade in SoCal and knew about him from his HS days. Talked with the parents of Cubs prospect Matt Mervis who, unfortunately, went undrafted the year the draft was shortened to 5 rounds because of Covid. Got $20K to sign, in a year when Spencer Torkelson got $8M. Talked a bit with Yankee prospect James Kaprielian and later a few of his relatives, who filled me in a bit re what he had personally dealt with. So, when seen up close with a little info re their backgrounds and what they've done to get to that level they're seen in a different light rather than just pieces in the puzzle of a ML baseball team. James Kaprielian...
