Maintaining a well-trimmed full beard, which I did for many years, is more work than just shaving every day. . I struggle at times to maintain my mustache and beard on my chin. That’s part of being ADHD, I suppose… I had a closely trimmed full beard for many years...not the scruffy Justin Turner style so popular with many of today's players...but trimmed close to the skin, from the time I was 25. Got the impulse to shave it once, went to get one of my kids out of his crib and he totally freaked out...didn't recognize me. I eventually shaved it down to what's often called a goatee, but is actually a Van Dyke. I've gotten lazy in my senior years, and only shave maybe once a week now, but keep the Van Dyke, although it now looks like I dipped my chin in a glass of milk.

Orioles won. Yankees are 2 games behind. 3 games behind in the all important loss column.

The Orioles led 6-1 going into the 8th and blew the entire lead between the 8th and 9th innings with Kimbrel giving up 3 runs. They were able to score in the 10th to win, but Kimbrel is def not the elite closer he once was.

As I've said since the beginning of last year...they're the team to beat.

At least when you enlarge the picture you can see that part of the white is his color and the beard does have a neat & trimmed look… Still baseball’s tallest position player at 6’8”.., Now that I'm looking at it on my laptop instead of my phone, I can see what you mean. It looks like it would take hours each day to keep it that perfectly trimmed. I bet there's rubber band behind his head, holding it on.

There are no longer elite closers There's still some, Miller and Hader are 2 of them. I guess? Miller has 15 career saves so far ... I like Miller, he looks real talented, but has never pitched a big game in his MLB career so far. Closing for the A's is not exactly Closing for the Yankees Hader has a 3.68 ERA and 5 loses this season ... 2022 he had a 5 plus ERA ... he's been pretty inconsistent
