Montreal was the Dodgers AAA club for many years....was the Expos park the same as the Dodgers used? No it wasn't, Utah. The Dodgers AAA affiliate, the Montreal Royals, played at Delormiere Park. That is where Jackie Robinson, Roy Campanella, Duke Snider, Don Drysdale, Junior Gilliam, Johmny Podres and Roberto Clemente (remember he was originally signed by the Dodgers) all played. Fun fact: the all-time winningest pitcher for the Montreal Royals was Tommy Lasorda. ha Lasorda...I knew that at one time, but had forgotten...Tommy bounced up and down for several years...I bet he got more starts than anyone else...

I'd also bet he ate more food than anyone else.

He’s still bouncing up and down. That belly transcends life itself...

I remember being on the Montreal Board when they played their last game. They went berserk. Fanhome closed the board something that was never done.

At some point toward the end, the Expos didn't even have a TV contract. Hard to generate interest without that.

...they had a relief pitcher who was almost perfect for a season or two in Mike Marshall, as I recall....I think he went into medicine, ending his baseball career early...

Yep, he had some good years for the Expos and Dodgers. Won a Cy Young the year he pitched 106 games.
I think he had a PhD in kinesiology. Which I never heard of until Mike Marshall came along.

Unintentional. When two great artists are both plying their craft it’s inevitable that we’re going to occasionally hit the same notes, write the same lyrics, paint a mustache on the same Mona Lisa. In that spirit, I have decided not to sue you until you do something more egregious so that I might profit greater from it...
