Just don't compare a black guy to a monkey or you'll be in trouble! Just like Cosell did with Alvin Garrett on Monday Night Football! [ I saw both the “Doesn’t he look like E. T. “? game and the “Look at that little monkey run” game. I truly sensed that had either player been of any other race Howard would have made the same comment. The ET resemblance was quite undeniable though a bit cruel, and when a football player is covered in all of that gear, including a helmet, it’s really quite hard to see race unless your’e looking for it. That comment was so obviously meant to compliment the size, speed and elusiveness of Garret that I was surprised that there was such an uproar the next day... ODD NOTE: Spell checker originally changed “little monkey” to “little man noetsi”, which I found both unexplainable and hilarious. Now watch all the noetsis in the world demand that you boycott my posts...

This lineup is horseshit. Gleyber is batting 9th? WTF?

When I saw the lineup at first I was sure they were playing Torreyes instead of Torres. I couldn't process that Torres would be hitting ninth again. What are you thinking Boone? Trying to get Gardner going, obviously...Are you guys really that dense?... Baseball players are creatures of habit. Its no secret once Neil Walker got more consistent ABS he started to perform better. A consistent lineup would help that the yankees have a young team this isnt a bunch of 38 year olds like it was in 2012 or whatever.

Two of our hottest hitters are 8th and 9th in the line up today after Voit was quickly installed in the cleanup role a week or so ago. Methinks Boone is nertz...

lol @ the lineup. Maybe AJ Cole can close it out, if the Yanks have a slim lead?

Why do the A's have a pitcher warming up already?

McCutchen was moving down the first base line. I like him more than I thought I would...

Why do the A's have a pitcher warming up already? Hendrick is an opener. Mengden, warming up, is normally a starter, so I don’t get it...Some of these managers are outsmarting themselves...

Why do the A's have a pitcher warming up already? They're using the "opener" strategy from the Rays.

Why do the A's have a pitcher warming up already? They're copying the Rays one inning opener staff, that has worked against the Yanks.
