Now that I remember it, there were a few guys that called him c*m stain...Teenagers are among the cruelest human beings in the world... That's awful. Yes...Lord of the Flies

Given that we’re certainly fragile at that age and often vain, he did well to just ignore them so far as I ever knew. Quiet guy, acted more mature than most of us, but without being haughty...

I wonder what it feels like to be Robbie Cano? You’ve put together a find career, many would already say HOF worthy. Then, all of a sudden you get caught cheating, and miss 1/2 a season for the team you proclaimed to be “yours” when they paid you big bucks to sign...
Do you feel remorseful on the field, or do you check collect the checks and figure that you paid your penance and the world should simply forgive you???
But... the quality of your game has slipped to the point that the team is moving you around on the diamond trying to figure out what to do with you for the rest of the contract. Ostensibly. Where to hide your glove for the rest of your career...

Yeah. I would be very guilty of wanting to retain him at ridiculous cost. Also figuring that his skills would require a position change, but that the bat would age well. It should, he probably soaked that in an illegal substance, to...Shows how difficult it can be to judge horseflesh from a distance and make these decisions based on the little bit of info we have, vs. what Cashman knew...
I think it would be very hard for a player to use PEDs without the team having at least a strong suspicion of knowledge...or more likely unprovable evidence...

I think I figured him for 3,400+ hits. I was basing it on his tendency to only miss 4-8 games per year... 🤪

I’m thinking Luke Voit is at least the equal of Greg Bird around the first base bag. Neither one is going to win a gold glove, both are adequate. Voit MAY turn out to be a bit better...Too soon to tell for both...
