I think there's still some good baseball in Lynn. Let's see if he can start showing it today...

I thought Gray should have been given this start instead of Lynn, especially with this game being on the road. Gray was away from the team for most of this week, so that might have had something to do with it.

Gray was away from the team for most of this week, so that might have had something to do with it. Given Gray’s foibles this season, and given Lynn’s pitching in NY during his first few starts...I figure it might be a toss up who would be more likely to give us quality today vs. falling on their face. So...I’m neutral at this point and figure I’ll just root for whom ever is holding the baseball today. Perhaps Lynn deserves one more chance, and perhaps it’s good for Gray to wait a bit longer to be re-instated. In the long run it’s better for the Yanks if the younger Gray can re-establish himself and meet expectations. Lynn is a bit easier to dispose of...

They should have went with Gray because they need to see if Gray has a future with the Yanks or not. Lynn does not have a future with the team being a free agent next year.

Gray can still get a few more starts...It may even be wise to interject him at some point to give Severino (and company) an extra day’s rest down the stretch. If he pitches well when interjected, then decide if you want to pull Lynn out of the rotation. Gray still has a lot of ass-kickings to make up for...

Gray's 3.09 road ERA is enough for me to give him the start. Lynn is not very good, but is capable of throwing a good game, I hope tonight is one of those games.

Lynn just reminded me that there was a young man in my highschool that was about a year older than me who had the misfortune of having Lynn for his first name. He was a decent, sort of quiet guy. He had a small patch of white hair on the back of his head, no more than maybe 1/2” x 1/2”. Since he had dark brown hair, it really stood out. I was just wondering if he now has a small patch of brown hair in his otherwise white hair???
