Maybe, just maybe you were wondering about the MLB record for passed balls by a catcher in a MLB season. The most since 1897 was 33 by JC Martin in 1965. His 33 is tied for 221st in total MLB history, with all of those ahead of him coming in 1897 or earlier. That all-time record was set in 1883 by a guy named Kemmler. I forgot his first name. I think it was Rudy, but does it really matter? More importantly, what year did the catcher’s mitt get invented or come into usage?.. Oh, sorry. What all time record you asked? That would be 114 in a season. The record is safe from Gary. This season at least... (: |

I hate it when Yankee pitchers throw over to first when there is also a runner at third.
