Got to feel a bit miserable for Bird. I still think the talent is there, but has time run out in NY?...

And MLB will also wind up with more strikeouts than hits for the season. I don’t like the price paid for all these HR...
I’m not sure if the cycle will shift back anytime soon, but i’ve Had enough of the all or nothing swings in NY. If only we could get a change of approach with two strikes and more clutch contact...

I mentioned the possibility of a platoon a couple of weeks ago and someone here refuted that with the engorged bullpens teams carry these days they didn’t see how the team could afford two players that both could only play IB or DH. Sorry poster, I can’t recall who you were, but that did make sense to me. The days of the full platoon without the ability of one of the players to fill in elsewhere may be over...

One more RBI for Stanton will get him to the century mark in that stat...Didn’t he go about 50 games in a row without one?...
JK. But sometimes it seemed like it...

I think that was me. I don't want to see the Yanks wasting two roster spots on 1B, especially when one guy does everything better than the other.

Obviously it made an impression on me... (:

How cool would it have been if Stanton had caught the thrown-back HR ball and carried it back to the dugout?..,
