I doubt Cashman, always leery of the free agent market will find a pitcher there. Maybe the could package Gray and Frazier. I’m going to side with you, Russ. This is a great trade, and I’d rather see another, although I’d do EOVALDI if the price is reasonable... Nervous about Happ’s age and Corbin’s ability to adapt to the AL, the Yankees, and whether or not he’ll be able to continue pitching at the same level long enough to justify the contract he’ll command... Still a couple of Aces on the trade market...

Sorry, I forgot that we had Sevy who could become that guy. Really hopes he can stay consistent the whole year. I was thinking that Tanaka was our ace.

Cleveland wants to dump salary. I suspect Kluber is available.

Love Paxton but wish we could get an ace pitcher in the mode of Sale, deGrom, Scherzer, etc. I would normally include Kershaw but I think he's on his way down of course I thought that of Verlander as well. Will need someone to match up with those aces come playoff time. That is pretty hard to do Yeah, I know pretty impossible. Just wished we went after Sale but of course, we were trying to get under the salary cap among other reasons. Just wondering when the next ace will be availabe on the market.

I wish we had gone after Verlander when he was on Detroit. Somethings don't work out.

I wish we had gone after Verlander when he was on Detroit. Somethings don't work out. In hindsight I wish that, but at the time he looked washed up to me. He turned things around with Houston via whatever magic they employ to greatly increase your spin rate.
