Yankees' Clint Frazier: Takes ankle knock
Frazier hurt his ankle against the Angels on Tuesday, but said he intends to play through it, Bryan Hoch of MLB.com reports. Frazier jammed the ankle running the bases in the Yankees' extra-innings victory over the Angels, but he was able to stay in the game and score the go-ahead run, telling reporters afterward he intends to continue to play through the knock. "It's sore," he said. "It's a little sprain, but it's one of those things where I went through too much last year to not go out there and play. The IL is too full for us, so I'm good. I'm going to keep playing." A trip to the injured list for the young outfielder would obviously be devastating for a Yankees team already decimated by injuries, but it looks Frazier will avoid that for now.
Good lord. Enough already.

If the Yankees still have contact info for Ellsbury, they should let him know that he might have to haul his butt out of the hammock soon.

Hmm, I think maybe just let him stay in the hammock I think the team is probably happy to collect insurance. My guess is unless it is very clear he can contribute and stay healthy they’ll keep him where he is. He’s been out so long I think this ends with a contract settlement / retirement. I don’t think he ever takes the field again for anyone.

I think the guys we have on the DL could beat most teams (well they are short on pitchers). Amazing we are winning as beat up as we are. Not sure we have ever had this many stars out at one time.

The Yanks are going to have to start holding open tryouts in every city they come into. We all have a shot at making the 40 man roster. It seems like Yankee players are in even more danger of getting hurt when they are on the IL. Something is really strange here.

Assuming Frazier joins the rest of the team on the IL, who comes up from Scranton? Billy Burns is the only OFer with any major league experience. Hey,he played pretty well for Oakland in 2015.
Trey Amberguey? Lipka is injured too, proving he is a True Yankee.

I doubt any team in any sport has lost so many good players at one time as this year's Yankees. I've never seen anything like that.
