Just keep saying next man up. A lot of guys in Trenton are getting ready for their big break. Even Inger’s been shagging fly balls in the gravel.

Assuming Frazier joins the rest of the team on the IL, who comes up from Scranton? Billy Burns is the only OFer with any major league experience. Hey,he played pretty well for Oakland in 2015. Trey Amberguey? Lipka is injured too, proving he is a True Yankee. None of those guys are on the 40 man so they'd need to make another roster move

When the Yankees say 10-14 days, that translates to four to six weeks.
With the setback to Stanton, it now looks like the player with the best chance to return next is Tulowitzki. I almost forgot he was with the team.
The way this crew keeps winning, maybe it's best if the injured guys stay injured.

Where's CMW with the obscure lisfranc baserunning injury when we need him?

I'm sure Tanaka will pull a hammy running the bases again. Don’t even joke about that with this team. With the NL teams, we may see Joe “Damn Yankees” Hardy again. Not sure who else to pull up.

Yankee pitchers should be under strict orders not to even swing the bat. If they should draw a walk, stand five feet off the bag and allow themselves to get picked off. But if they do swing and somehow make contact, just walk directly back to the dugout, slowly and carefully. If they're going to get injured, at least make it pitching-related.

How do you tear an ankle? Put on a Yankee uniform?

I do wonder about this ankle tear business. What is torn? A tear doesn't sound like something that gets better in 10 days.

Like pipps, I would guess a ligament tear would not be healed in 10--14 days, but maybe it's minor. I guess technically a sprain involves tearing of microscopic fibrous tissues as well, but seems like they'd use the term "sprained ankle" if that were the case. Well, I'm not a doctor, so hopefully we'll get a better explanation soon. Like others, I fear it's really a 4-6 week deal or more rather than 2--at least that's the way it seems to be going this year. The question is: Will he beat Ellsbury back from the IL? Well, that's not really the question. Mickey Mantle will suit up for the Yankees before Ellsbury will.

I doubt the Yankees even want Ellsbury back, since they will receive insurance payouts while he's still injured.
