Funny to see Bird on the bench. He looks a lot happier than when he is playing.

Hey! Who’s doing the mulch? The wife and kids?... The mulch has been spread, I went with red mulch this year. It's been a gorgeous weekend in Chicagoland, finally. Someone told me once there were 2 seasons in Chicago--winter and July 4th.

Tauchman strikes!!! Two run shot. His days as a starter are drawing to a close, but at least he delivered one more big hit.

Terrible pitch selection by Pineda. A breaking pitch gets him there. We’ll take it.

Good one...I think it’s that way in Minot, ND, too. Only that’s winter and between the hours of 2:00 PM and 3:00 PM on July 4th...At lease Chi and family get a full day of summer...

Funny to see Bird on the bench. He looks a lot happier than when he is playing. He’s slightly less likely to hurt himself on the bench. Although if anyone can do it, he can.

I don’t get the sense that German is looking for strikeouts. I think when he gets them, they just happen...

I think Estrada goes first...But he’s earned another shot...I take that back. He’s earned another opportunity. Don’t say shot around him. Not nice. Not nice at all...
