Why is it that I’d like to see Gregorius and Judge back but not Stanton? It’s an irrational feeling but there nonetheless.

Yes, hopefully he can close this one out and we can save the other relievers for Game 2.

Amazing. Have to credit the Yankees’ scouts and stat geeks.

Amazing. Have to credit the Yankees’ scouts and stat geeks. Voit, DiDi and Hicks: three big time steals by Cashman.

Luke's blast for those who didn't see it or for those that just want to see it again.

I’m afraid I’m a little bit country, and a little bit rock n roll...(Strange that I would quite the Osmonds, they provoke a gag reflex in me... I was telling the neighbors last night that because of the way we grew up, some of the comments on my old report cards read much like what you read of serial killers in their youth: 3rd Grade: Very well behaved student. 4th Grade: Very kind and placid demeanor. More studious than most of his classmates. 5th Grade: Child is withdrawn. Often chooses to stay in classroom and read at recess. Sixth Grade: Leon is showing signs that he may finally be breaking out of his shell. I also recall the first grade teacher commenting thatvInwas a “precious little boy”, and the day I was made to flush a toilet in front of my entire class because somebody had been clogging the toilets up. Since I was the only one that raised my hand when the principal said “I don’t suppose there would anyone here that doesn’t have a flush toilet at home in this group, is there”? The truth is that I would have held my water, and especially the back door forever before I would even enter the bathrooms. I usually heard loud talking, laughter and echos from outside, and wasn’t going in there. It was a screwed up way of growing up, guys. I could have turned out much, much weirder than I am... That’s just a couple of the ones I can recall. They meant little to me at the time. Predictably, although I was interested in girls on schedule, I was also incredibly shy and awkward around them at first, which created a lot of angst...

Nice job by Cessa.
Good to get the first win of the DH and a huge HR by Voit right after the Royals had tied the game.
