I really like Kaufman Stadium. Laid back atmosphere.

Kaufman is one of the nicest sights for hundreds of miles in either direction on that stretch of I-70...I’ve always that part of the drives across country to be among the blandest of drives with a feel of rusted steel, smokestacks, and plainness.
The stadium adds a sudden splash of color and cheerfulness to the otherwise drab landscape...If you’re heading west, once you leave the Appalachians behind it all seems like one unending, unchanging scene until you cross the Mississippi River when the landscape gradually begins to gain that rustic old west feel and the Rockies begin to poke up out of the landscape...

Don’t know if you guys have looked into this:
At the last home show I attended, I stopped at the Direct TV booth. I told them I already use Direct TV and that if not for the MLB package I would probably quit because the price has gotten out of control. Without movie channels, we were paying 156.00 per month. Then add the baseball package and it’s 256 for four months.
So, they told me that they merged with AT&T and Dish. They’re supposed to come to the house today and switch us over to DISH. When they do, they’ll upgrade our equipment to reduce weather interruption by 90%, and install the baseball package and my total bill is supposed to drop to $109 per month.
They also will schedule to switch me back to Direct TV in two years so I don’t suffer from “Price creep”. Gotta keep switching, which seems pretty dumb, but it’s better than high prices...

You do that entranceway, inger! The gravel calls! No gravel, Marble stepping stones. Good, old fashioned 85 pound pieces of marble to set in place. I’m actually a bit nervous about it. It’s out of my regular skill set to do this and make it look better than just... okay... you did your best... We’ll see. I call my entire project by what it is: “Hillbilly Landscaping”... |
