Soriano... [img alt=" " src="//storage.proboards.com/6828121/images/UhLYtfPmGggOgPkFrmgW.gif" class="smile"] Have you done the percentages? Both for his career and as a Yankee!

Those were amazing teams. I would have loved to see Pepper Martin in action. me too....who would be a possible comp that we did see....Dykstra? I think the same reckless abandon on the basepaths. I don't think Pepper had the same sad post-baseball life.

Great stuff on Elmer Valo, Inger. I was not aware of his pinch hitting records. Loved the Vic Power story.
Guys from that era who I think of for pinch hitting prowess would be Dave Philley, Jerry Lynch and Smokey Burgess.

So, what's the mood like now in this thread? We blow with the wind here, Chi. Typical fans. I swear if Travis d'Arnaud wins this with a grand slam, I am through with baseball.

Damn, Hale looked sharp and then left another pitch middle away...when will we stop giving the Rays that location?

I’ll call it “Un-noetsi-like”... (: I think Russ is happy. Yeah. But it’s not easy on him... As I’ve said before, we need his flavor here. I just over-indulged on it last night...I was a bit grumpy from lack of sleep the night before, so my tolerance was low. Russ is both a pissant and a hell of a good man. I like both sides... (:
